Attributes are special passive abilities and buffs typically obtained through  Hunting. Each Attribute has a corresponding Attribute Shard, a type of item that is automatically stored in the player's Hunting Box when obtained. These can also be fused into other shards, or syphoned into their respective attribute, with more syphons increasing the attribute's level, up to level 10.

Attribute Fusion

5 Attributes can be fused to create new Attributes. Reptilian, Elemental, and Amphibian Attributes only require 2 to fuse. The resulting fusions can be previewed before confirming. Both sets of Attributes are consumed in the process.

Requirements

Most Attributes require the following  Hunting levels to Syphon:

Attributes that existed prior to  Hunting have no requirement, except for Attack Speed (Inferno Demonlord Shard Inferno Demonlord Shard), which has the standard  Hunting XV (15) requirement.

Hunting Box

The Hunting Box is a menu that stores Attribute Shards. It can be accessed from the  Hunting Skill menu or from the /huntingbox command. Any Attribute Shards that are collected automatically get sent to the Hunting Box.

While in the Hunting Box, Attribute Shards can be syphoned into an attribute, or Fused into a new attribute. The box can be sorted by ID and newest. Shards can also be right-clicked to be taken out from the box and turned into an item.

Clicking the chest at the top of the menu allows the player to swap from the Hunting Box to the Attribute Menu.

Leveling

Attribute Shards can be syphoned to the Hunting Box by right-clicking while holding them. Left-clicking an Attribute in the Hunting Box syphons it and contributes towards leveling up its respective Attribute.

Attributes begin at Level I (1) and can be upgraded up to Level X (10) by syphoning more shards. Higher Rarity Attributes require less shards to increase its level. The amount of Attribute Shards required to reach max level for each rarity of an Attribute is as follows:

  • Prior to 0.23, Attributes were bound to items. Items could be fused together at A sprite icon representing Igor in Hypixel SkyBlock Igor or A sprite icon representing Alwin in Hypixel SkyBlock Alwin to increase their level.
  • Attribute Shards generally follow the Forest, Water, Combat pattern when ordered by ID. Gaps in IDs likely exist as a reservation for future shards of the corresponding category.
    • However, the Fenlord Shard Fenlord Shard (E7) is Water instead of the expected Forest.
    • Starborn Shard Starborn Shard (L44) used to be Combat instead of the expected Water, but this was changed.
  • Blazing Resistance's head icon is an upside-down version of the Plushie Blaze Skin.
  • Charmed head icon is Duke Fishron from Terraria.
  • The Lifeline Attribute may be based off a League of Legends passive of the same name, with similar activation requirements and effects.
  • The Unlimited Power Attribute may be a reference to Star Wars, specifically a quote in Revenge of the Sith by Darth Sidious.
  • The Vitality Attribute used to be called Mending, despite the fact that it boosts Vitality rather than Mending.
    • This is also evidenced by its internal name being mending.
  • The Sack Size Attribute used to be bugged to not have any effects when syphoned.
  • Prior to 0.24.4, the Lunar Power Attribute had a different texture.
  • Prior to 0.24.5, the Hellwisp Shard Hellwisp Shard and the Inferno Demonlord Shard Inferno Demonlord Shard (then known as Burningsoul Shard Burningsoul Shard) had each other's IDs and rarities. When the update dropped, all previous instances of either shards syphoned were swapped, but unsyphoned shards were unchanged. A player who had Level 10 Matriarch Cubs Attribute prior to the update will instead have Level 10 Attack Speed Attribute instead.
    • This change was made to ensure players did not need to re-hunt Attributes they had already maxed out. However, 0.27 changed the Thorn Shard Thorn Shard and Scarf Shard Scarf Shard from LEGENDARY to EPIC, breaking this consistency.
  • Changelog from 0.24.5 is mistaken as Crystal Serendipity Attribute has been functional on lock-pickable chests since 0.24.1.
  • As of 0.27, Bitbug Shard Bitbug Shard cannot be fused into via Chameleon Shard Chameleon Shard, and Grizzly Bear Shard Grizzly Bear Shard cannot be fused with Chameleon Shard Chameleon Shard.
    • This is likely to prevent progression skipping, as otherwise one would be able to easily acquire Molthorn Shard Molthorn Shard for extremely cheap.
  • The Rainbug Shard Rainbug Shard is the only shard that has its method of unlocking obfuscated in the menu.
