Attribute Fusion

Attribute Fusion is the process of combining different Attribute Shards to obtain new Shards. This process can be done in the  Fusion House in  Tangleburg, or remotely with Kysha's Abiphone Contact.

Interacting with the Fusion Machine opens a menu which lets you select the Shards you wish to fuse. Once two Shards are selected, a list of Shards that you can obtain upon fusing your selection is displayed.

The number of Attribute Shards needed for fusion depends on the initial input:

•  Chameleon requires 1 Shard
• Reptile, Amphibian and Elemental Shards (e.g.  Gecko,  Eel,  Mossybit,  Bolt, etc.) require 2 Shards
• In all other cases, 5 Shards are required

The number of Attribute Shards outputted during fusion depends on the type of fusion.

• ID Fusion and Chameleon Fusion yield 1 Shard
• Special Fusion yields 2 Shards
• Using any Reptile-type Attribute Shard, including  Chameleon Shards, has a chance to activate the Pure Reptile Attribute which grants a 2%-20% chance to double output shards during a fusion.

Inputting 2 Attribute Shards together will output a maximum of 3 new Shards: only one output can be selected with each fusion. There are 3 'types' of Fusion: each type will yield different outputs, and they are outlined below. Fusion recipes can never output one of their inputs.

ID Fusion recipes function sequentially. Each Shard has a pre-defined "ID result". It typically follows a pattern of having the same category and rarity of the Shard. Then, an algorithm is used to determine the results from ID Fusion.

Special Fusion recipes consist of pre-defined recipes that output a specific Attribute Shard. Special Fusion recipes generally follow a specific thematic pattern depending on the family and rarity of the input Shards.

Chameleon Fusion is a special type of Fusion that only works with a  Chameleon Shard. Fusing with a  Chameleon Shard is guaranteed to output the next 3 eligible IDs of the Shard of the other input, even if any of the given Shards outputted are not regularly obtainable from fusion (e.g.  Gecko Shard) with the exceptions of  Chameleon Shards,  Molthorn Shards,  Galaxy Fish Shards, and  Bitbug Shards. Only one  Chameleon Shard is required for the input, and only one Shard will be outputted.

If no correct shard is found, the first shards of the next rarity will be outputted (for example: R63 +  Chameleon Shard will result in R64, E1 and E2). Legendary rarity shards are the exception; if no correct shard is found, the output slot will be empty.

Upon a successful fusion, some XP will be rewarded dependent on the rarity of the resultant fusion.

• Shards typically follow a pattern in category per ID line: the first Shard will always be Forest-type, followed by Water and Combat.
