Pity and RNG Meters
RNG Meters and Pity are mechanics that prevent players from getting too unlucky, akin to a "Luck Insurance".

RNG Meter
[edit | edit source]The RNG Meter is a mechanic that translates the time and efforts spent in certain parts of SkyBlock into a currency named RNG Meter XP. That currency can be put to contribution towards a target of the player choosing, increasing its odds. Upon obtainment of the target, a "price" will be deducted from the stored RNG Meter XP.
Types of RNG Meters
[edit | edit source]5 types of RNG Meters currently exist, each with their respective ways of contribution:
- 1
Experimentation Table RNG Meter, from 0.1% of
Enchanting XP gained from Superpairs experiments. - 6
Slayer RNG Meters, from Slayer XP obtained from killing their respective Tier III or higher Slayer bosses. - 14
Catacombs RNG Meters, from Dungeon Score of completed runs at 70% efficiency for S or at 100% efficiency for S+. - 1
Crystal Nucleus RNG Meter, from Nucleus XP of completed Nuclei Runs, each granting +1000. - 1
Frozen Corpses RNG Meter, from Frozen Corpse XP of looted Frozen Corpses, at +500 per Lapis corpse, +2,500 per Umber/Tungsten corpse, and +25,000 per Vanguard corpse.
RNG Meter Boosts
[edit | edit source]RNG Meter XP can also be increased in the following ways:
- globally, by a flat amount depending on the chosen meter from consuming an
Ananke Feather or an
RNG Juice. The values are listed below. - globally, by 1.01→1.10x from the Pity attribute (
Daemon Shard). This does not affect
Ananke Feathers nor
RNG Juice. - on the
Experimentation Table, by a varying multiplier as Enchanting Wisdom and other
Enchanting XP modifiers directly affect it.

Effect of RNG Meter progress on a selected drop
[edit | edit source]The formula of the drop rate of an item with the RNG Meter selected is:
- If the Stored RNG Meter XP is above Required RNG Meter XP, then:
- the drop is guaranteed;
- the Required RNG Meter XP is subtracted from the Stored RNG Meter XP.
- In the event a player obtains the targeted drop in its RNG Meter:
- If the Stored RNG Meter XP was below Required RNG Meter XP, then it is reset to 0.
- If the Stored RNG Meter XP was above Required RNG Meter XP, then the Required RNG Meter XP is subtracted from it.
- In the event a player obtains a drop that was not targeted in its RNG Meter:
- the RNG Meter progress is unaffected.
In the case of Slayer RNG Meters
[edit | edit source]For
Slayer bosses:
- If a drop has its Final Drop Rate < 5%, then it is increased by Magic Find.
- Note that every slayer drop other than guaranteed drops from a full RNG Meter will display the player's Magic Find in the chat message, even if the drop was not actually affected by it.

Reason: Somehow use Buckets to compute the of each item, for each meter
Slayers RNG Meters are filled with Slayer XP from defeating Tier III or higher Slayer bosses, with each slayer having its own independent Meter, for a total of 6.
- Items in the Slayers RNG Meters have amounts of Slayer XP required to guarantee to roll, as per the formulas below. The Required Slayer XP for each item can be read in the further down.
- For each tier of a Slayer boss defeated, the item's Percent Drop Rate is collected from its pool. Then, the highest of these is stored as the Highest Base Percent Drop Rate.
- Token drops (or Slayer Tokens) are not used in the RNG Meters as they cannot be selected as a target drop, despite being tied to a formula.
- Total Added Weights is the sum of all unlocked drops weights for that tier. This means that the Percent Drop Rate of an item can be inflated from a low Slayer level.
- The weight of the targeted item in that loot pool is then altered as per the following formula:
- The menus can be accessed through
Maddox the Slayer or the SkyBlock Menu. To view a specific Slayer RNG Meter, the player must have defeated its Tier III boss at least once.

[edit | edit source]You can help the wiki by editing this page and reworking it.
Reason: Somehow use Buckets to compute the of each item, for each meter. Maybe from https://hypixelskyblock.minecraft.wiki/w/Bucket:Catacombs_loot ?
Catacombs RNG Meters are filled with Dungeon Score of completed runs at 70% efficiency for S or at 100% efficiency for S+. Each floor has its own independent meter on REGULAR and MASTER modes except
Entrance, for a total of 14.
- Items in the Catacombs RNG Meters have amounts of Dungeon Score required to guarantee to roll, as per the formula below. The for each item can be read in the list below.
- The loot pool used is from the highest tier of Dungeon Reward Chest for that floor. The weight of the targeted item in that loot pool is then altered as per the following formula:
- The menus can be accessed through the SkyBlock Menu. To view a specific floor RNG Meter, the player must have cleared it at least once.

Crystal Nucleus RNG Meter
[edit | edit source]The Crystal Nucleus RNG Meter increases the drop rate of certain items from the list below.
- Placing all crystals at the Crystal Nucleus gains 1,000 Nucleus XP for the meter. Retroactive completions from before the release of the Crystal Nucleus RNG Meter grant 250 Nucleus XP rounded towards the nearest thousand.
- Items in the Crystal Nucleus RNG Meter have predefined amounts of XP required to guarantee to roll.
- The amount of XP is roughly based on drop chance. The XP values can be read in the list below.
- When a bundle is rolled, the selected item has an increased weight with the following formula. If enough XP is stored within the Crystal Nucleus RNG Meter, the selected item is guaranteed to drop.

Frozen Corpses RNG Meter
[edit | edit source]The Frozen Corpses RNG Meter increases the drop rate of certain items from the list below.
- Looting a Frozen Corpse grants varying amounts of Frozen Corpse XP depending on its type:
- +500 per Lapis corpse;
- +2,500 per Umber corpse;
- +2,500 per Tungsten corpse;
- +25,000 per Vanguard corpse.
- Items in the Frozen Corpse RNG Meter have predefined amounts of Frozen Corpse XP required to guarantee to roll. The amount of Frozen Corpse XP is roughly based on drop chance.
- When a bundle is rolled, the selected item has an increased weight with the following formula. If enough Frozen Corpse XP is stored within the Frozen Corpse RNG Meter, the selected item is guaranteed to drop.

Pity
[edit | edit source]Pity is a mechanic that guarantees an event or an item after a task has been repeated a certain number of times. Unlike RNG Meters:
- there is no currency to be spent;
- there is no choice to be made as all targets are active and are covered by independent counters;
- there is no increase in the drop rate of targets.
If the player hits the target, be it from luck or Pity, its respective counter is reset to 0.
Types of Pity
[edit | edit source]7 groups of Pity currently exist, each with their respective ways of contribution:
- During Hoppity's Hunt:
- After 500 or 2,500 Chocolate Eggs have been opened, guarantees that the next opened one will contain a new MYTHIC or DIVINE Chocolate Rabbit respectively.
- On the Crimson Isle:
- Trophy Fish: After 100 or 600 catches of a specific Trophy Fish, guarantees that the next catch will be GOLD or DIAMOND tier respectively.
- On the Lotus Atoll:
- Trophy Frogs: After 100 or 600 catches of a specific Trophy Frog, guarantees that the next catch will be GOLD or DIAMOND tier respectively. These values are halved for
Exploding Frog and
Puddle Jumper.
- Trophy Frogs: After 100 or 600 catches of a specific Trophy Frog, guarantees that the next catch will be GOLD or DIAMOND tier respectively. These values are halved for

- In the Glacite Tunnels:
- Glacite Mineshafts are a special case as Pity works differently:
- The counter starts from 2,000, decreasing according to the Block Quality of the block mined. Once the counter reaches 0, the next block is guaranteed to spawn a Glacite Mineshaft portal.
- If a block is mined from Mining Spread or Pickobolus, its Block Quality is halved.
- For example, if a player with 300 Mining Spread mines a
Glacite block, 3 nearby ones will be indirectly mined.
In total, he counter decreases by 10: once by 4 and thrice by 2.
- For example, if a player with 300 Mining Spread mines a
- The counter determines the chance of a Glacite Mineshaft portal spawning on the next block mined: it is the inverse of the counter.
- However, on the tab list and in the Pity menu, the counter appears as starting from 0, increasing to 2000 in contrary to the mechanics initially explained on its introduction[2]
- For example, if the in-game Pity counter appears at 859, the actual value is 2000-859=1141. Thus, the probability of spawning a Glacite Mineshaft portal on the next block is 0,088% (1 in 1141).
- For example, if the in-game Pity counter appears at 1995, the actual value is 2000-1995=5. Thus, the probability of spawning a Glacite Mineshaft portal on the next block is 20% (1 in 5).

[edit | edit source]Bugs
[edit | edit source]- The RNG Meter for the
Crystal Nucleus increases its target rates on the 1st roll only. Because there are between 14 and 20 rolls by default, this means the RNG Meter is much worse than intended for this purpose. Thus, it is recommended to not select a target as to not "waste" stored meter progress.
