Critters
[edit | edit source]Aside from Sea Creatures, there are various Critters that can be found on the Lotus Atoll, all of which are tied to Hunting and cannot be damaged regularly:
Lotusfish, which can be found swimming in the water and caught with a Fishing Net to obtain the
Lotusfish Shard.
Lotums, which can be found around the water. When punched 4 times (or 3 times with Frog Legs), they grant the
Lotum Shard.
Tewtils, which can be found in the water and primarily in the Tewtil Tunnel. When fed three Trophy Frogs, they explode and grant the
Tewtil Shard.
Flipfloppers, which have a 50% chance to spawn from an Exploding Lily Pad. They can be damaged with a
Medium Fishing Net or better.
Seashines, which have a 25% chance to spawn from an Exploding Lily Pad. They can also be damaged with a
Medium Fishing Net or better.

Wormholes
[edit | edit source]
Wormholes are purple particle rings that can be seen in the Lotus Atoll and Crimson Isle while wearing
Froggles,
Silver Froggles,
Golden Froggles, or
Diamond Froggles. While fishing in them, players have a chance to catch the
Reality Hopper Trophy Frog. Higher tier Froggles and the
Geometric Oddity also grant Trophy Chance and higher chances at GOLD and DIAMOND Trophy Frogs.
Additionally, fishing inside a Wormhole prevents Sea Creatures from being caught.
Exploding Lily Pads
[edit | edit source]
The water in the Lotus Atoll not only contains
Lily Pads placed as blocks, but also lily pads that can be punched around on the water. If two Lily Pads of different sizes get close together, the smaller one will be absorbed by the larger one, which also increases the size of the larger Lily Pad. Once a single Lily Pad reaches size 8, it will float into the air, spin, and then explode. The explosion grants the following rewards to all players within 30 blocks who interacted with the Lily Pad (including merged Lily Pads) during the past 180 seconds:[1]
Exploding Frog Trophy Frog
120–180 Lily Pads[Confirm]
60–100 Lotus- +120
Fishing XP
After a Lily Pad explodes, 3-5 Lotus Sea Creatures spawn based on the sum of the participating players' Tracking (up to 400 [Confirm]). Each Sea Creature targets a random participating player.[1]
There is also a 50% base chance to spawn a
Flipflopper and a 25% base chance to spawn
Seashine, which can be increased by the participants' Tracking.
Lily Tracker Attribute grants Tracking on Exploding Lily Pads and Lily Puncher Attribute gives more force when punching them.
-
A group of pushable lily pads next to normal lily pads.
-
A large lily pad right before explosion.
-
A lily pad spinning in the air before exploding.

Hotspots
[edit | edit source]Hotspots appear in water to grant buffs and new Sea Creatures when the player's bobber is within.
Weather
[edit | edit source]Every 40 minutes on the Lotus Atoll, 20 minutes of rain begins. While raining, players gain +25 Fishing Speed and can catch
Wetlands Frogs.
Occasionally, rain may become a thunderstorm. It provides no additional effect.[Confirm]
