[June 5th] Foraging Update Alpha

The Foraging Update ALPHA is now live!


The most technically complex update in SkyBlock’s history is now available for public playtesting on the Alpha Network.

Here’s everything you need to know for this testing session:


► What is this?

This is the early test of the Foraging Update, which includes:

  • A complete revamp of The Park
  • A brand new island: Galatea
  • The Hunting Skill, with permanent Attributes
  • A massive tech leap: uses latest Minecraft version mechanics
  • Dozens of new systems, mobs, tools, UI, and more


► How to join

You will need to be MVP+ or higher to join this testing session!

Log in with Minecraft 1.21.5 (latest version) and connect to:

alpha.hypixel.net

Make sure to switch your client version first, Galatea and the new Park are only accessible on the latest Minecraft version.


► What’s available to test

We’re opening up testing for the following systems:


  • New Foraging Islands
  • Tree Chopping Mechanics (Sweep, Toughness, Styles)
  • The Heart of the Forest
  • New Collections
  • The full Hunting Skill
  • Shards, Attributes, Fusions
  • Kuudra loot table changes
  • Dozens of new items, mobs, and NPCs
  • New underwater Pressure mechanic
  • And more

► A quick note on the content of Foraging and Latest Versions

It's important to mention and temper some expectations. Foraging is an update that comes with a LOT of content, and a few features from latest versions. Some of the stuff you guys may be expecting from latest may not have made it to Foraging right away - the best example of this are resource pack menus. Foraging is a technological marvel, but mostly from the backend. A lot of the work necessary to bring you guys this update won't technically be noticeable from players perspective, but it paves the way for future content, both within and outside of SkyBlock on the entirety of the Hypixel Network. Yes, we are working on fancy resource pack menus and UIs, and we'll be showing them off to you guys soon™.
