Minotaur can also be Charmed or put in a Black Hole to obtain 
Minotaur Shard and +300 
Hunting XP. The amount of Attribute Shards dropped is affected by Hunting Fortune.
Behavior
[edit | edit source]The Minotaur attacks at melee range. It can throw a slow-moving Axe at the player every 1.5s, which does damage but no Knockback.
The Minotaur has a special mechanic: Bleed. The Bleed count above the Minotaur's head increases by 1 every time the Minotaur hits the player with a regular melee attack and by 3 when the thrown Axe strikes the player. The Bleed effect reduces Healing. Every 2 seconds, the Minotaur strikes the player with 75x the Bleed count. The Bleed counter can reset if the Minotaur's Bleed doesn't increase for 5 seconds. If the Bleed count reaches 27, the Minotaur runs away from the player, and the thrown Axe doesn't strike the player. This lasts until the Bleed count turns to 0.
Trivia
[edit | edit source]- If the player dies to a Minotaur, the bleed stack counter can sometimes linger in the air. This is a visual-only bug and has no bearing on gameplay.
- The Minotaur is based on the Minotaur, a creature with the head and tail of a bull and the body of a man from Greek mythology.
- Its Daedalus Stick drop is based on the hollow wooden cow it was born in, which was made by Daedalus.
