King Minos

King Minos is a  Mythological creature that can be spawned from Griffin Burrows during the Mythological Ritual.

Spawning

A King Minos has a chance to spawn when digging Griffin Burrows with a MYTHIC Griffin Pet equipped.

King Minos can also be Charmed or put in a Black Hole to obtain King Minos Shard and +500 Hunting XP. The amount of Attribute Shards dropped is affected by Hunting Fortune.

While fighting King Minos, your Vitality is halved.

Shield Phase

King Minos spawns riding an orange sheep with a 75 hit shield, similar to the Voidgloom Seraph, during which the boss does not take damage and every hit reduces the shield's hits by one.

During this phase, King Minos can attack by ramming into a player, dealing damage and knocking the player straight into the air, or casting his fishing rod at a player and trapping them in place if the bobber hits them.

Once the shield is broken, King Minos will dismount the sheep and enter the next phase, where he can start taking damage.

Damage Phase

In this phase, a rage meter appears above King Minos. This rage meter increments by 1% whenever King Minos takes damage or deals damage to the player. At 30% onwards, it will turn red, signaling that King Minos is enraged enough to use a high-damage area of effect attack centered on himself. The amount of rage he has (in %) converts his damage stat into True Damage. For example, at 50% rage, King Minos deals 1,250 damage and 1,250 true damage. King Minos' Rage caps at 100%.

King Minos can summon lightning on the block which the player is standing on, dealing high damage.

If the player is out of range, King Minos will switch to attacking with a bow.

Tips

A Black Hole can be used to skip the last 10% of the fight if survival becomes difficult.
- However, it should be noted that in this case, swapping to a pet other than a Griffin before it dies will result in receiving no loot other than the shards.
In group fights, the spawner should fall back once the rage meter turns red to avoid despawning the boss on death.
It is recommended to bring an Aspect of the End or Aspect of the Void to escape the hook attack.
