Changelog/2025/October 10
Hello!
Today on the Alpha Network we are testing the SkyBlock 0.23.5 update. This update introduces a brand new pity system, the Ironman W's update, some high-impact quality-of-life (QoL) changes, and the previously-tested Dungeonbreaker. Keep reading for more information!
These changes are live on the Alpha network at the time of posting.
- Ironman Shen's Auctions now use half the quantity of regular Shen's Auctions rather than only 15%
- Note that this change will not show up on Alpha as the current auction is ongoing
- Made some changes to the conversion time for converting to a Normal Profile
- SkyBlock Level 0-24: Instant
- SkyBlock Level 25-49: 2 Days
- SkyBlock Level 50-99: 7 Days
- SkyBlock Level 100+: 35 Days
- For Co-ops the player with the highest SkyBlock Level is used
- Hoppity's Pity is now retroactive for up to 1 MYTHIC and 1 DIVINE Rabbit
- You can calculate how much retroactive pity you will receive by doing the following (example is for divines):
- 2,500 * UniqueDivines = X
- TotalEggsOpened -X =Y
- Y is your retroactive pity progress. Keep in mind that it cannot exceed 2,500/2,500
- For example, a player with 8,800 eggs opened and 3 unique divines would do 2,500*3=7,500. 8,800-7,500=1,300 retroactive pity out of a maximum 2,500.
- If you've opened 2,500+ eggs with 0 divines, you'll still get 2,500/2,500 towards a divine.
- You can also use the above formula to calculate your mythic pity, but use 500 instead of 2,500
- You can calculate how much retroactive pity you will receive by doing the following (example is for divines):
- Duplicate MYTHIC/DIVINE Chocolate Rabbits no longer reset Hoppity's Pity
- Buying Chocolate Rabbits from Hoppity now counts towards Pity
- Increased the NPC Sell Price cap on all profile types to 500m
- Added the Frozen Scute to Umber + Tungsten corpses.
- Has 10 weight in Tungsten + Umber and 8 weight in Vanguard. Note that it's more common in vanguards because they contain significantly less weight overall.
- Added Dungeonbreaker to Museum, worth 8 SkyBlock XP
- Pocket Black Holes can no longer pull in mobs that belong to other players
- Now only the owner of a Chumcap Bucket can fish up Agarimoos
- Nearby players still get the Fishing Speed bonus
- Makes Pickaxe Ability Widget default on some Mining Islands
- Nerfs the health of Spider Slayer's Egg Sacks from 5/10/15 → 3/6/9
- Added 'Click to View!' text under Rusty Category descriptions
- Swapping off of Final Destination Armor while the ability is active to no longer retains the ability's stats
- Made it more clear in Hoppity's Pity menu that you will get a Chocolate Rabbit you don't already have
- Decreased the Tree the Fish Pity requirement from 1/5,000 to 1/1,000
- Fixed the recipe of the Mosquito Shortbow using Tarantula Web instead Tarantula Silk

► /pity
[edit | edit source]We have now added a Pity system to the game, the details of which can be found within the /rng menu or by directly typing /pity. Going forward, we aim to utilize pity systems in areas of content where an RNG Meter might not necessarily make sense due to their small scale, but where bad luck can be particularly punishing/frustrating. Meters may still be used going forward for large pieces of content with a variety of desirable drops.
The following areas of the game are currently included in the new Pity system, with more potentially being added in the future. Our goal is for this system to primarily be used for drops that are part of the overarching/intended progression of the game - those which you are expected to get on a functional (as opposed to a social) level - such as certain drops required as part of Hina's Chapters.
- Crimson Isle
- Migrated existing Trophy Fish pity to this menu.
- Glacite Tunnels
- Migrated existing Glacite Mineshaft spawn pity to this menu.
- Garden
- Every 3,000th visitor is guaranteed to be the Spaceman.
- Designer Note: Pity only increments if you are the necessary Garden Level to spawn Spaceman.
- Hoppity's Hunt
- Every 500 eggs is guaranteed to be a Mythic rabbit.
- Every 2,500 eggs is guaranteed to be a Divine rabbit.
- Designer Note: This pity system for Hoppity's Hunt replaces the previously teased RNG Meter.
- Designer Note: Eggs claimed from the Rabbit Hitman DO count towards pity.
- Designer Note: When you proc pity, you are guaranteed to get a rabbit you do not have yet, if there is one.
- Moonglade Marsh
- Every 2,500 treasure is guaranteed to be Fish the fish.
- Every 2,500th mob kill is guaranteed to drop Mob the fish.
- Every 5,000th tree gift is guaranteed to drop Tree the fish.
* Numbers are subject to change throughout the Alpha period. Pity will be retroactive where applicable.
Additionally, we have added Tablist Widgets for each of the above pity systems, meaning you can view your pity in real-time via the tablist feature.
► Ironman W's
[edit | edit source]Included in this update are a few improvements in and around Ironman profiles.
➥ Ironman Shen's Auctions
[edit | edit source]Ironman Profiles now participate in Shen's Auctions completely separately from Normal Profiles to help even the playing field, although there is a reduced quantity of items available. Any items earned through Ironman's Shen's Auctions are automatically soulbound.
➥ Normal Profile Conversion
[edit | edit source]Solo Profiles are now able to convert their Ironman Profiles into Normal Profiles if they so choose. This can be done through the Profile Management menu. Once you declare that you want to convert your profile to a normal one you'll have to wait 30 days to give a final confirmation that you want to convert it. If you ever want to cancel during the 30 days you'll need to restart the cooldown all over again.
Ironman Co-ops are also able to convert to Normal Co-ops, but the process is a little bit different. Each person has 3 days to vote once someone stats the process in the Profile Management menu. If at any point someone votes "No" or doesn't vote in time, the conversion process fails. If every member of the Co-op votes "Yes" however, the 30 day wait begins. If at any point during those 30 days someone has second thoughts, they can go back to the Profile Management menu and stop the process entirely.
We would like to once stress that this system was designed to prevent impulsive decisions. A Normal Profile cannot be turned back into an Ironman Profile under any circumstances. Make sure you really want to convert it.
➥ Cosmetics Tab in AH
[edit | edit source]We've replaced the 'Blocks' tab in the Auction House with the 'Cosmetics' tab for Normal Profiles. Most of the things found in the Blocks tab can now be found under the 'Tools & Misc' tab.
Ironman players now opening the Auction House menu will be greeted with a "Cosmetics Browser" which allows them to purchase most of the items found in the new Cosmetics tab. Ironman players are not able to sell items here, only purchase.
As a side note, the Ironman Bazaar now allows you to buy a custom amount of Booster Cookies rather than any of the preset amounts like before.
➥ Dwarven Ironman Guild
[edit | edit source]The area above spawn in the Dwarven Mines has been revamped into a space for the Dwarven Ironman Guild. This area has a few NPCs that introduce players to Ironman Profiles, and one of the NPCs even allows you to create an Ironman Profile directly through his menu.

This release also includes the Dungeonbreaker from previous Alphas. We would also like to let you know that we hope to release another patch to Alpha in the near future with some further important QoL changes, such as having Mort ask for something other than a Spirit Mask as part of his Abiphone contact and for the Spirit Mask itself to come from Master Mode Floor IV instead of from the Dark Auction.
We hope you have a good time testing today's update and, as usual, please report any bugs at https://hypixel.net/bug-reports/create, making sure you select alpha.hypixel.net!
That's all for today!
