Changelog/2026/April 28

Hello! Today we are releasing a new Hypixel SkyBlock update which introduces a new yearly farming event: the Harvest Feast! Along with this we've added Fossil Essence and a corresponding shop to spend it in. Keep reading for all the details!
► Harvest Feasts
[edit | edit source]
➥ Overview
[edit | edit source]
Feast Chef Ted is cooking up a massive Communal Stew for everyone in SkyBlock, and he needs your help to season it! Harvest Feasts take place every SkyBlock Year for 3 months: Early Autumn, Autumn, and Late Autumn.
During each month, 3 crops will enter their "harvesting season". Harvesting these crops during this period has a small chance to drop Seasoning for the stew and a new crafting material unique to each crop.
➥ Seasonings
[edit | edit source]Seasoning is a RARE CROP that has a 1/2,250 chance of dropping from in-season crops when harvesting them. It's not a physical item—it'll automatically be donated to the Communal Stew in The Hub.
Each Seasoning you donate to the stew will contribute towards your Donation Tiers.
➥ Donation Tiers + Celestial Mason Jars
[edit | edit source]There are five Donation Tiers each Harvest Feast at 5, 25, 75, 150, and 250 Seasonings cumulatively donated. Each Donation Tier reached will earn you Feast Flasks, a critical ingredient for crafting the new Celestial Mason Jar, the most powerful Mixin in Hypixel SkyBlock!

Hitting the max Donation Tier will also earn you a Commemorative Mason Jar for that event.
➥ New Stat: Overbloom
[edit | edit source]
Many of the items in this new event reward a new stat: Overbloom! You can think of Overbloom as Farming's equivalent to Magic Find: it increases your chances of dropping RARE CROPS! Every 1 Overbloom you have adds +1% to the drop rate of all RARE CROPS, so 100 Overbloom doubles your chances!
- Cropie
- Squash
- Fermento
- Helianthus
- Burrowing Spores
- We've decreased the drop rate of this item to 1/350,000 to help maintain its value
- Overclocker 3000
- Warty
- Ethereal Vines
- Wild Strawberry Dye
- All Harvest Feast drops (see below)
➥ Crop Drops
[edit | edit source]Outside of just dropping Seasoning, in-season crops will also have a 1/18,000 chance of dropping a new crafting material unique to that crop. Each crafting material is also considered a RARE CROP, much like Seasoning.
Each of these materials is used to craft or obtain 1-3 new items.
► Grand Feasts
[edit | edit source]➥ Overview
[edit | edit source]
Mayor Finnegan now has a new perk: "Grand Feast"! This replaces the Harvest Feast with a version that lasts an entire SkyBlock Year, in addition to opening the Grand Bakery for its duration. Feast Baker Scott runs the Grand Bakery and will appear at the market stall next to Ted during Grand Feasts.
➥ Grand Bakery

➥ Removal of Pelt-pocalypse
[edit | edit source]With the introduction of Finnegan's new Grand Feast perk we're retiring his old "Pelt-pocalypse" perk. Talbot's Shop and the Horse Trapper Animal are now permanently available. In addition to this, we've slightly reworked the Trapper's Crest accessory. It now upgrades an additional time and buffs the amount of Pelts you drop to compensate for the removal of the Mayor perk.
► Fossil Essence Shop
[edit | edit source]
Fossil Dust has been turned into Fossil Essence, which can be spent in a brand-new shop! The Fossil Essence Shop is accessed through Researcher Beryl, a new NPC that can be found in the top floor of the Fossil Research Center.

► Farming Toolkit
[edit | edit source]
One of the most popular suggestions we've gotten recently is for a farming equivalent to the Hunting Toolkit. It's finally here! You can purchase one for 500 Copper from SkyMart and it'll store your Farming Tools for all crops. Consuming the item now grants access to the /farmingtoolkit menu, where you can store your Farming Tools. You can also access this menu by shift right-clicking the Farming Tool you are currently holding, just like the Hunting Toolkit.
► Other Changes
[edit | edit source]➥ Carnival Perks
[edit | edit source]There are now 4 new perks available in Doug's Event Shop at the Carnival to help out with your progression through the Harvest Feast: Natural Talent I-V: Grants a +1-5% chance to find Seasonings during a Harvest Feast Fortunate Feasting I-V: Grants +5-25 Farming Fortune during a Harvest Feast Feast Crashers I-III: Grants +2-6 Bonus Pest Chance during a Harvest Feast Leftovers I-II: Earn +1/+2 Feast Flasks if you reach the final Donation Tier
➥ Farming Tool Type
[edit | edit source]We've recategorized all Hoes and Axes used for farming into a new "Farming Tool" item type. They now share the same reforges and enchantments for simplicity sake. As a direct result of this, we've removed the Sunder enchantment from the game as it was redundant with the functionality of the Harvesting enchantment, but for Axes.

[edit | edit source]Taylor can now show up on your Garden as a MYTHIC Visitor starting at Garden Level XIV. She'll offer the player one of two cosmetics: the Fast Food Barn Skin or the Jelly Greenhouse Skin.
If she's offering the Barn Skin, she'll ask for lots of Deepfries, Salted Sunflower Seeds, and Enchanted Baked Potatoes. If she's offering the Greenhouse Skin, she'll ask for lots of Floral Gelatin, Melon Juice, and Compacted Wild Roses.

- Designer's Note: Pest Farming has been overwhelming good for the past few months now. Given that we are adding an exciting event with this update with even more drops and even more stats, we think this is a warranted nerf.

- Renamed the "Bonus Attack Speed" stat to just "Attack Speed"
- Fixed having more than 500 Speed not actually making you any faster
► Update FAQ
[edit | edit source]What's coming next month?
Early next month we want to release a fairly large QOL patch and an early game quest to teach players about account security. Later in the month we plan on releasing the Lotus Atoll, a brand new fishing island. You can read the sneak peek for that island HERE.
Where are the Minister perks from the Aura event?
The team is still actively working on implementing all Minister perks from Mayor Aura's event. One or two perks have already been released, as you might have seen with April's Secret Bingo event, and most of the remaining perks will be released bundled together in one update.
When can we expect the second Foraging Island?
We are very deep into development of the second island of Galatea - Torrhus Canyon - and are hoping to release it later this year. You can expect a Sneak Peek for it over the next month or two.

When will we be getting the "new type of combat content"?
The "new type of combat content" is still at early stages of development so we won't share much now, but it is intended to take full advantage of the latest versions of Minecraft and be accessible to players at all stages of the game. We'll share a piece of concept art from the project for now.

What happened to the Guardian Slayer update?
The Guardian Slayer update always required Lotus Atoll to release before it, but now that we have access to latest-version tech we would like to take some time to revisit the Slayer, which was originally built using only 1.8 mechanics. We still plan on releasing it later this year.
What happened to the Great Glacite Lake update?
With the Lotus Atoll and Desecrated Shrine (Guardian Slayer) updates currently planned for fishing, we thought that yet another fishing update so soon would've grown tiresome. Because of this we ultimately split the Great Glacite Lake update into a number of parts, many of which you've already seen released (Frozen Corpse RNG Meter & Milestones, Littlefoot's Den, Fossil Essence Shop). We still plan to release the Great Glacite Lake part of the update, which contains the next TWO pieces of BiS Mining Equipment, Glacite Sea Creatures, new Mineshafts, and an Offering system for the lake that makes it easier to target certain mineshafts, in the future. We apologize for the delay.
That's all for today!
If you notice any bugs or unexpected behavior, please report it HERE!
