The Mining Fiesta is an Event that occurs when Mayor Cole is elected as Mayor with his Mining Fiesta perk active, or when Mayor Foxy's Extra Event perk or Mayor Jerry's Perkpocalypse perk is rotated to a Mining Fiesta.

During the Mining Fiesta, players mining on public islands can obtain  Refined Minerals and  Glossy Gemstones.

Cole schedules 4 Mining Fiestas throughout his term, with each event lasting 7 days in SkyBlock Time, or 2 hours and 20 minutes each (11 hours and 40 minutes total) in real-life time:

• 1st of Early Summer
• 1st of Late Summer
• 1st of Autumn
• 1st of Early Winter

Other factors affect the time a Mining Fiesta takes place:

• If Mayor Foxy is in office with her Extra Event perk active, a Bonus Mining Fiesta occurs from 22nd of Late Summer with the same duration.
• A Bonus Mining Fiesta from Mayor Jerry's Perkpocalypse occurs at exactly 18:00 on the same SkyBlock day of the beginning of a rotation to perks from Cole (or 18 hours in SkyBlock Time / 15 minutes in real-life time following the beginning of rotation to perks from Cole). The bonus event has the same duration as a normal Mining Fiesta.

During the Mining Fiesta, all players gain +75 ☯ Mining Wisdom and all drops are doubled. Additionally, players can collect  Refined Minerals and  Glossy Gemstones from Ores and Gemstones respectively.

The Refined Mind perk, which can be purchased from Doug in the  Carnival, increases the chances of collecting  Refined Minerals and  Glossy Gemstones by +2-10%.

• Cole is meant to schedule 5 Mining Fiestas during his term. However, because the first one falls on 1st of Spring, before he takes office on 27th of Late Spring, it never happens.

• The Mining Fiesta was previously called the National Mining Month and only took place during Late Summer and Early Autumn. This was changed to accomodate players living in multiple time zones.
• The Mining Fiesta starts at 6pm in-game time, as opposed to events like Spooky Festival which start at midnight. This means that the event starts at XX:30 UTC.
  • The announcement heralding the start of the event is inaccurate by 15m, since they are sent 2.75 and 1.75 in-game days prior to the event starting. This is likely a rounding error.^[Confirm]
• To craft all the armors, talismans and accessories, it will take  97 Refined Minerals and  208 Glossy Gemstones.
  • To make  6 Divan's Powder Coatings, it will take  192 Refined Minerals and  192 Glossy Gemstones.
