Alligator can be fished up from water in the  Backwater Bayou. It requires  Fishing XX (20) or higher to be fished up.

The base Weight for Alligator is 100, resulting in a default catch chance of 1% (1 in 100 sea creatures) with all Sea Creatures unlocked. Certain modifiers can be used to increase it:

Alligators chase after their target, rolling occasionally. They can also throw the player into the air. When throwing the player, the following dialogue appears in chat:

The Alligator may occasionally cling onto the player in a death roll, dealing immense damage. During this, the following dialogue appears in chat:

• During Alpha testing, the Alligator used the model of a swimming player.
  • This was changed due to issues with rendering it on Minecraft 1.8.9, which still had to be supported at the time.
