Galatea is an archipelago of
Foraging islands, including the Moonglade Marsh and Torrhus Canyon, as well as a third planned island known as Lunarise, which is currently unreleased. It can be accessed from The Park after reaching
Foraging XII (12).
Purpose
[edit | edit source]Galatea, being a
Foraging island, has several Foraging-related mechanics. These include the
Heart of the Forest, Tree Gifts, Tree Styles, Sweep, and
Hunting.
Heart of the Forest
[edit | edit source]The
Heart of the Forest is a skill tree that grants various perks related to
Foraging and
Hunting. One can obtain HotF EXP through Tree Gifts and Agatha Contests, and leveling up the Heart of the Forest or Center of the Forest grants Token of the Forest.
Tree Gifts
[edit | edit source]Tree Gifts are a bundle of loot obtained from fully cutting down a Fig, Mangrove, or Helix tree. Rewards obtained scale based on participation up to all rewards received at 33% of the tree broken: as a result, this encourages working together to chop down trees.
Tree Styles
[edit | edit source]Tree Styles dictate the order in which you cut down different parts of a tree in. Different trees have different Toughness, which can be bypassed by having more Sweep than a tree's toughness. Failing to cut down a tree in the correct order results in a 50% less logs broken.
| Tree | Location | Toughness | Style |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fig Tree | Upper area of the Moonglade Marsh | 10 Toughness | Trunk → Branches |
| Mangrove Tree | Murkwater Loch | 50 Toughness | Branches → Trunk → Roots |
| Helix Tree | Torrhus Canyon | 150 Toughness | Beige Logs → Red Logs |
