A pair of two Macaws have a chance to spawn after placing food in the Birdfeeder, found within the Forest biome of the  Critter Safari. The chance for a pair of two to spawn depends on the type of food used:

Macaws slowly towards and fly around the Birdfeeder. If a  Critter Capsule is thrown at a Macaw and is caught, it dies and drops its loot.
