Right-clicking a Pet whilst holding a Dwarf Turtle Shelmet will equip it to the Pet, granting it ⬱ Knockback immunity and +10  True Defense. If another Pet Item were equipped on the Pet, it would refund the Dwarf Turtle Shelmet for 250,000 Coins and remove the perks it gave.

• In most circumstances, a Dwarf Turtle Shelmet is unnecessary as the Shell Attribute does not need to be equipped to a Pet; in addition, playing as the Tank class in Dungeons also gives ⬱ Knockback immunity. However, its +10  True Defense can prove useful in circumstances.
  • Using the  Slime Hat is also an alternative, although it replaces the Helmet.

• The Dwarf Turtle Shelmet used to be the only Pet Item in the game to not give any stat bonuses.
• Although it is not normally possible to obtain a Dwarf Turtle Shelmet inside the Rift Dimension, if a player manages to do so anyway and apply it to their  Montezuma Pet, it will actually grant them immunity to knockback. However, the pet item gets wiped once the player leaves the Rift.
