The Dark Thicket is the third section of The Park.

When the player first enters  Dark Thicket, they will be greeted with the following message:

The Dark Thicket features a few attractions.

The player can enter the campfire located next to Ryan to begin the Trial of Fire. They must survive 10s in the fire whilst it constantly deals True Damage. There are 30 Trials, each dealing more and more damage per second. After successfully completing a Trial, the player can talk to Ryan to upgrade their Campfire Badge.

After completing the Trial of Fire for the first time, Ryan will ask the player for  256 Dark Oak Logs. Giving these will complete "The Campfire Cult" Quest, rewarding the player with the  Campfire Initiate Badge, 2,000 Coins, +1,000  Foraging XP, and access to the  Savanna Woodland.

Near the middle of the Dark Thicket lies a breakable wall that can be blown up with an  Explosive Bow or  Superboom TNT. Here, you will find the  Howling Cave, where  Pack Spirits,  Howling Spirits, and  Soul of the Alphas will spawn. This is one of three caves designed for Wolf Slayer. Old Shaman Nyko resides here.
