Glacite Tunnels

The Glacite Tunnels are a Location focused on  Mining that requires Heart of the Mountain VII to be accessed. It has several unique minerals, including  Glacite,  Umber, and  Tungsten.

In order to access the  Dwarven Base Camp and then the Glacite Tunnels, the player must forge a  Secret Railroad Pass after talking to Dulin. The player must be Heart of The Mountain VII in order to forge a  Secret Railroad Pass, forged with 1 Flawless Ruby Gemstone, 2 Refined Mithril, and 8 Corleonite for 30 seconds (without the Quick Forge upgrade).

In the Glacite Tunnels, the player can mine Dwarven Metals like  Umber,  Tungsten and  Glacite. The Glacite Tunnels also contain Gemstones, exclusive to this area, such as  Onyx,  Aquamarine,  Citrine and  Peridot. Inside the Tunnels, you accumulate  Cold, which reduces your  Mining Speed by 0.5 per  Cold. Additionally, the players  Speed is decreased by 25% for every 25  Cold. Upon reaching 100  Cold, the player freezes to death and is returned to  Dwarven Base Camp.

Glacite Mineshafts can be found by mining blocks within the  Glacite Tunnels. The base chance of spawning a Glacite Mineshaft is 0.05%, or 1 in 2,000. A pity system was implemented in Version 0.20.1 to provide a more consistent spawn rate for Glacite Mineshafts. Each pity counter begins at 2,000 and decreases by the numbers below for each block type. Once a Glacite Mineshaft has spawned, the counter is reset to 2,000.

After finding a Glacite Mineshaft, a portal will appear, which the player has 30 seconds to enter before it disappears. A sound will be played and the following chat message will appear:

Mineshaft! A mineshaft portal spawned nearby!

A notification will also appear in the middle of the screen with the same wording as the chat message. Once the portal appears, it will emit purple and white particles. Above the particles, the player's name will appear next to Mineshaft Portal. Once you click the portal, a UI will appear with more info:

• It is recommended to enter the Glacite Tunnels after reaching Heart of the Mountain VIII (8) (8), as the lowest new gemstones have 9  Breaking Power and a Block Strength of 5200, while the newest Dwarven Metals have 9  Breaking Power and a block strength of 5,600.
  • As such, the recommended stats and gear are 3750  Mining Speed,  Armor of Divan, a  Silverfish Pet, and a  Titanium Drill DR-X555 or better.
• ᠅ Glacite Powder from tiers 8-10 can be used to get Warm Hearted and Strong Arm to stay in the Glacite Tunnels and Glacite Mineshafts for longer and mine  Umber,  Tungsten, and  Glacite quicker, respectively.
  • Additionally, Eager Adventurer, Metal Head, and Rags to Riches can help with mining in the Glacite Mineshafts.
  • Crystalline may be useful if the player needs Gemstone Crystals to forge  Onyx,  Citrine,  Peridot,  Aquamarine, or  Opal Perfect Gemstones.
