Gold Mine

The Gold Mine is an island that players progress to after the  Coal Mine. It is required to travel to before the players' descent into the Deep Caverns.

Tasks

When the player first enters  Gold Mine, they will be greeted with the following message:

NEW AREA DISCOVERED!

 Gold Mine

■ Talk to the Lazy Miner.

■ Mine for gold, iron, and coal.

■ Visit the Iron and Gold Forgers.

■ Visit the Blacksmith.

■ Talk to Rusty.

Purpose

The mine consists of Coal Ore, Iron Ore, Gold Ore, and Cobblestone.

Trivia

The Gold Mine (before v0.7) there was a secret entrance that leads to a place by riding a minecart to pass through dark wool to find some cobblestone. However, this secret entrance was removed in SkyBlock update v0.7.1.
The Blacksmith here is the same one as the one in the Village
If traveled to without the launcher (with an Aspect of the End or Grappling Hook), the inside of the mine is partly made of Sponge. Such is the case with many other areas, like the former Blazing Fortress or Crimson Isle.
The minecart can be pushed inside the wall, then nudged away in order to get it off of the track.
