Rhys is an NPC in the  Obsidian Sanctuary, near the Lift Operator. They give the player access to the  Dwarven Mines and Heart of the Mountain after they reach  Mining XII (12) and in exchange for 15 enchanted versions of any type of Ores.

First Interaction Dwarven Mines		[NPC] Rhys: Now that you have your Heart of the Mountain, you have access to all of the deeper areas of the mines! [NPC] Rhys: You can access the Heart of the Mountain from the Mining Skill menu, and unlock loads of powerful upgrades as you continue your journey! [NPC] Rhys: We Dwarves inhabit this area. We love it! It is rich in Mithril and even some Titanium. [NPC] Rhys: You will need a good pickaxe to mine ores here. For Mithril, at least something with a Breaking Power of 4. Bubu just down the street could help you with that! [NPC] Rhys: If you're looking for better hardware, maybe try checking out the Forge. You could also visit the Royal Palace to talk to the King about certain tasks! [NPC] Rhys: Enjoy our little slice of mining heaven!

After Giving Ores		[NPC] Rhys: I had a sunburn once, I have stayed down there ever since.
		[NPC] Rhys: You can ask the Lift Operator for a ride to the Dwarven Mines!

• The best ore to mine for Rhys's quest to unlock the Dwarven Mines is  Redstone, since 640 can be bought from the Mad Redstone Engineer and it has a high base drop rate.
  • If the player wants to avoid being attacked by Redstone Pigmen,  Lapis Lazuli is a close second.

• Completing Rhys's quest grants the "Resourceful" Achievement.
• When the  Dwarven Mines update first launched, Rhys wouldn't take the items to complete his quest. This turned out to be a bug with the SkyBlock Addons mod, one of the most popular mods for SkyBlock. Before this was fixed in SkyBlock Addons, there were rumors that the Dwarven Mines had been disabled by the admins to fix bugs, which was untrue.
