N/AOres are mineable blocks that spawn in certain Locations. Unlike vanilla Minecraft, ores cannot be found in most of the world. Otherwise, the ores themselves behave as expected. Many higher level ores are inaccessible via mining until reaching the Deep Caverns.
Obtaining
[edit | edit source]Ores can be found on the mining islands and areas ( Coal Mine, Gold Mine, Deep Caverns, Dwarven Mines, Crystal Hollows and Crimson Isle).
Ores require a certain Breaking Power to be mined. Coal needs 1 Breaking Power, Iron and Lapis need 2 Breaking Power, Diamond needs 4 Breaking Power and so on. While the highest obtainable Breaking Power is 12, the highest required is only 9 .
Mined ores will turn into Stone or Bedrock (depending on the mining area), except for ores in the Crystal Hollows and Glacite Mineshafts, where they will just turn into air. 
Sulphur always turns into air. In most areas ores will then respawn in random locations, but in the Dwarven Mines and Crystal Hollows they have fixed spawning places. In Glacite Mineshafts ores don't respawn at all.
Like vanilla Minecraft, Iron and Gold Ore drop the Ore Block when mined (except in the Crystal Hollows), while others drop the finished product, although Silk Touch can be used to obtain the ore if desired. Unlike vanilla Minecraft, SkyBlock Pickaxes can have a Smelting Touch Enchantment that will smelt Iron and Gold Ore when it is mined. Similarly, Minions with an 
Auto Smelter will produce 
Iron or 
Gold Ingots instead of the Ores. The amount of items received when mined manually is influenced by Mining Fortune.
Unlike other ores, Sulphur will only spawn during volcano eruptions in large quantities. They are shot out of the volcano and when they land on the ground, can be mined like a normal block.
