Tips
[edit | edit source]- The best upgrade order for early game gear is generally the
Challenging Rod, followed by the equipment pieces of 
Backwater Armor, and finally the armor itself.
Salmon Armor provides better survivability, although Backwater Armor provides higher Sea Creature Chance and Treasure Chance for cheaper, along with increased damage against Sea Creatures.
- Before obtaining a
Treasure Hook, equipping 2 pieces of 
Bronze Hunter Armor or better will achieve a similar effect.

- It cost
1,024 Rusty Coin, 
124 Busted Belt Buckle, and 
12 Old Leather Boot, along with 
1 Bayou Water Orb and 10,000 Coins to buy each items, with the exception of the 
Treasure Bait.
- The
Hermit Crab Pet will cost an additional 20 Rusty Coin, 8 Busted Belt Buckle and 1 Old Leather Boot to upgrade to LEGENDARY.
