The cult in the game

The Cult of the Fallen Star is a secret cult found in the Cliffside Veins in the Dwarven Mines at -45, 193, 45. To find the cult, players need to arrive between 0 AM and 6 AM in-game time on either the 7th, 14th, 21st or 28th day of each SkyBlock month. The entrance to the cult's cave is at -26, 198, 40. After going to a meeting, the player will obtain the "The Cult of the Fallen Star" Achievement.

After speaking to A sprite icon representing Brarnas in Hypixel SkyBlock Brarnas for the first time, players will be given the Fallen Star Helmet. In subsequent meetings with the cult, when the player wears the Fallen Star Helmet, they will receive Starfall 200 Starfall.

Silnar is also a member of the Cult, who gives the player a Fallen Star Lozenge.

Location

[edit | edit source]

The cult's cave is located in a hidden area of Cliffside Veins; specifically, it is west of the purple crystal and up the cliff. Players can use the lava channel in the Lava Springs to access the location without having to use ender pearls.

[NPC] Dalir: We meet here every seven days at midnight. That's when the star is the brightest, after all.
[NPC] Dalir: We hope you love the Fallen Star as much as we do.

[NPC] Dalir: Huh? Are you a member of, y'know, our thing?
[NPC] Dalir: Where's your Fallen Star Helmet? Put it on!
Has not attended 3 meetings
[NPC] Dalir: You want my Abiphone Contact? Respectfully, we don't see you at our meetings very often.
[NPC] Dalir: Here's the deal.
[NPC] Dalir: Attend 3 meetings of the Cult of the Fallen Star, and you can have my contact.
[NPC] Dalir: Confirm your attendance at a meeting by speaking to me with your Fallen Star Helmet equipped.
Has attended more than 3 meetings
[NPC] Dalir: Before I give you my Abiphone Contact, do you think you could grab us a Powder Pie to split?
[NPC] Dalir: Someone in the Dwarven Mines sells them, though I can't remember who.
[NPC] Dalir: Consider it your punishment for being late.

[NPC] Dalir: Thank you so very much, <player>.
[NPC] Dalir: Now we can wind down from our very serious meeting with some very serious food!
[NPC] Dalir: Here is my Abiphone Contact. Give me a call if you ever want to know when our next meeting is.
[NPC] Dalir: ...
[NPC] Dalir: Wait.
[NPC] Dalir: Where's your Abiphone? I can't add you as a contact if you don't even have one!
[NPC] Dalir: Come back once you've found it!
First Meeting
[NPC] Dalir: Ah, <player>! Nice to see you at our cult meeting!
[NPC] Dalir: You've now attended 1 meeting of the Cult of the Fallen Star! As a reward, here's some Starfall!
[NPC] Dalir: Attend two more and I'll give you my Abiphone Contact.
[NPC] Dalir: Now, time for the meeting to begin!
[NPC] Dalir: Alright, where did we finish off last time?
[NPC] Brarnas: The master plan.
[NPC] Dalir: Right, the master plan. Thondin, care to update us?
[NPC] Thondin: My wife said we can have a sleepover if you promise not to break anything this time.
[NPC] Dalir: Break anything? It wasn't me, it was Brarnas! And, honestly, who stores plates like that anyways?
[NPC] Dalir: They're just asking to be knocked over. Why not just put them in a drawer, out of the way?
[NPC] Dalir: You don't need to display them. Everyone has plates, they're nothing special.
[NPC] Thondin: You said you never even saw the plates.
[NPC] Dalir: And I didn't! But Brarnas told me about it.
[NPC] Brarnas: No I didn't.
[NPC] Dalir: Anyways!
[NPC] Dalir: My wife said I'm free to come to the sleepover if I do the dishes first.
[NPC] Brarnas: Try not to break those too.
[NPC] Thondin: Cool.
[NPC] Thondin: I was thinking of hosting it on the fifteenth?
[NPC] Brarnas: I don't think that would work.
[NPC] Dalir: Yeah, it doesn't really align with our cult's theme. How about the fourteenth instead?
[NPC] Thondin: Sure.
[NPC] Brarnas: I'm not really available then, couple coworkers are off so the boss wants me in to cover.
[NPC] Dalir: Well, you should probably make yourself available.
[NPC] Thondin: Jobs may come and go, but the Cult of the Fallen Star is eternal.
[NPC] Brarnas: You are right. I shall be there.
[NPC] Thondin: Awesome.
[NPC] Dalir: Alright, next point of interest...
[NPC] Thondin: Hold up, guys. My wife's calling.
[NPC] Dalir: Again?
[NPC] Thondin: Hello? Mhm? Okay. Calm down. Yes, I'll come and look, make sure you check under the porch.
[NPC] Brarnas: Cat again?
[NPC] Thondin: Cat again. I've got to go.
[NPC] Dalir: Alright, I guess we can end the meeting there. Same time next week!
Second Meeting
[NPC] Dalir: Ah, <player>! Nice to see you at our cult meeting!
[NPC] Dalir: You've now attended 2 meetings of the Cult of the Fallen Star! As a reward, here's some Starfall!
[NPC] Dalir: Attend one more and I'll give you my Abiphone Contact.
[NPC] Dalir: Now, time for the meeting to begin!
[NPC] Thondin: Today I have something I'd like to talk about.
[NPC] Dalir: What is it?
[NPC] Thondin: The sleepover.
[NPC] Brarnas: Uh-oh.
[NPC] Thondin: We're never having another one again.
[NPC] Dalir: Why?
[NPC] Thondin: I wonder why. Where do I start?
[NPC] Thondin: You didn't take your shows off when you came in.
[NPC] Thondin: You also left the door open, so the cat ran out and I had to spend an hour looking for him.
[NPC] Thondin: And, while I was doing that, you ate all of the pizza I ordered for us.
[NPC] Dalir: We were hungry.
[NPC] Brarnas: We? I didn't get a single bite either.
[NPC] Dalir: You're not helping.
[NPC] Thondin: You then fell asleep in my bed before the show we were meant to watch even began.
[NPC] Thondin: You don't even know which two people died!
[NPC] Dalir: TWO?
[NPC] Brarnas: Might be three in a minute.
[NPC] Thondin: You deserved that spoiler. And-
[NPC] Dalir: Okay, okay, I get it. The next sleepover can be at my house. I'll make it up to you guys.
[NPC] Brarnas: You can pay for the pizza.
[NPC] Dalir: Yes, of course! Now, can we move on with the meeting?
[NPC] Brarnas: Yes.
[NPC] Brarnas: Again, Thondin?
[NPC] Thondin: Apologies.
[NPC] Thondin: Hello? Missing? Again? Okay. Yep, I can hear you. I'll be right there.
[NPC] Dalir: Cat again?
[NPC] Thondin: Nope, wife.
[NPC] Brarnas: Oh. That's not good.
[NPC] Thondin: Nah, it's fine. She'll be getting a cuppa down in Scarleton. Thought it was her day off.
[NPC] Thondin: I should probably go and tell her that she's supposed to be at work.
[NPC] Brarnas: Yep.
[NPC] Dalir: Well, I guess we will have to suspend today's meeting... Until next week, everyone!
Third Meeting
[NPC] Dalir: Ah, <player>! Nice to see you at our cult meeting!
[NPC] Dalir: You've now attended # meetings of the Cult of the Fallen Star! As a reward, here's some Starfall!
[NPC] Dalir: Anyways... This meeting's been running long, and we're starving.

Fourth Meeting
[NPC] Dalir: Ah, <player>! Nice to see you at our cult meeting!
[NPC] Dalir: You’ve now attended 4 meetings of the Cult of the Fallen Star! As a reward, here's some Starfall!
[NPC] Dalir: Now, time for the meeting to begin!
[NPC] Thondin: Guys, today I have something super urgent to discuss.
[NPC] Dalir: What is it, Thondin?
[NPC] Brarnas: And why do I suspect it will be entirely unimportant?
[NPC] Thondin: Well... you think there are more doors or wheels in this world?
[NPC] Brarnas: There we go.
[NPC] Thondin: I've been thinking about it all week, and I believe there are probably more wheels.
[NPC] Brarnas: And how did you reach that conclusion?
[NPC] Thondin: Well, first of all, many houses don't even have doors. For example, many of us dwarves don't use them.
[NPC] Thondin: Like, you could just walk right on in to the dwarven palace, if it wasn't for the guards.
[NPC] Dalir: And guards, though they serve a similar purpose, are not doors, I suppose.
[NPC] Thondin: Yeah. Unless you're like, a philosopher, or something.
[NPC] Thondin: And then, when you think about it, every minecart has four wheels, but no door on it.
[NPC] Thondin: And us, being dwarves, have a whole lot of minecarts.
[NPC] Dalir: Yup, I sleep in one.
[NPC] Brarnas: But not many civilizations outside of us dwarves use minecarts, Thondin.
[NPC] Brarnas: And why are you so certain that minecarts have wheels?
[NPC] Thondin: Huh?
[NPC] Brarnas: By definition, a wheel must be circular. Those "wheels" are blocky, and I've never actually seen them turn.
[NPC] Dalir: You know, now that I think of it, everything is really blocky around here. And everywhere.
[NPC] Thondin: But it is a wheel!
[NPC] Brarnas: How can you be so sure?
[NPC] Thondin: Because everyone calls it a wheel!
[NPC] Brarnas: Have you ever seen one turn?
[NPC] Thondin: Now that I think about it, no. I've never seen a minecart actually move. They're always in the same place!
[NPC] Brarnas: The same is true for me.
[NPC] Thondin: Then what are they there for? Just for decoration?
[NPC] Thondin: Guys... are we living in a simulation?
[NPC] Dalir: Don't be silly.
[NPC] Brarnas: Unlikely. There's no way to prove we're living in a simulation.
[NPC] Dalir: Come, let's go and check out those minecarts. Meeting adjourned!
Fifth Meeting
[NPC] Dalir: Ah, <player>! Nice to see you at our cult meeting!
[NPC] Dalir: You’ve now attended 5 meetings of the Cult of the Fallen Star! As a reward, here's some Starfall!
[NPC] Dalir: Now, time for the meeting to begin!
[NPC] Dalir: Well, guys, I'm still a bit shook from our recent series of discoveries.
[NPC] Dalir: I suppose we should recap them, just for the agenda. Brarnas, if you would...
[NPC] Brarnas: Sure.
[NPC] Brarnas: Firstly, we discovered that the wheels on minecarts are solely for show, and that minecarts cannot actually move.
[NPC] Brarnas: Next, Thondin made the realization that food actually has no taste or texture, though we are inclined to eat it.
[NPC] Brarnas: Then, we realized that fallen stars always land at the same few spots. Mathematically unlikely, to put it lightly.
[NPC] Brarnas: After which, we noted that the same things always happen at the same time, each day.
[NPC] Thondin: Yup!
[NPC] Thondin: Bednom always has a nightmare.
[NPC] Thondin: Brynmor always loses his Speckled Teacup.
[NPC] Thondin: Fetchur always needs someone to bring him something.
[NPC] Dalir: And the Puzzler always has a stupid puzzle to solve!
[NPC] Brarnas: Indeed. It seems almost as if everyone here is living the same day, again and again.
[NPC] Thondin: And, when we asked them about it, none of them knew why they do what they do!
[NPC] Brarnas: Indeed. With this in mind, only one logical conclusion can be reached.
[NPC] Thondin: What is it?
[NPC] Brarnas: We... are living in a XsimulationX.
[NPC] Dalir: HUH?
[NPC] Dalir: I can't deal with this right now, I need some time to process it all.
[NPC] Thondin: To think I was right all along.
[NPC] Dalir: Meeting adjourned!
Sixth Meeting
[NPC] Dalir: Ah, <player>! Nice to see you at our cult meeting!
[NPC] Dalir: You’ve now attended 6 meetings of the Cult of the Fallen Star! As a reward, here's some Starfall!
[NPC] Dalir: Now, time for the meeting to begin!
[NPC] Dalir: I don't know about you guys, but I'm still coming to terms with our recent findings...
[NPC] Thondin: I can't believe it...
[NPC] Thondin: We really are living in a XsimulationX!
[NPC] Brarnas: It is unfortunate. Though we are certain of it, there's simply nothing we can do.
[NPC] Brarnas: The moment all of the "players" leave the game, we shall cease to exist until they return.
[NPC] Thondin: Please don't leave, <player>, I don't want to die!
[NPC] Dalir: What was never alive may never die, Thondin.
[NPC] Dalir: But we are conscious, Brarnas, are we not? Surely we exist in some capacity.
[NPC] Brarnas: Or do we merely feign consciousness? Perhaps we are nothing more than the simulation experiencing itself.
[NPC] Dalir: Or perhaps we are real, but are stuck within the XsimulationX?
[NPC] Dalir: This is all too much for me to comprehend. I liked things better before.
[NPC] Thondin: How about we order a pizza?
[NPC] Dalir: Let's do it.
[NPC] Dalir: Alright, let me call them.
[NPC] Dalir: Hello, can I have a pizza please.
[NPC] Dalir: Hmm, give me a second, I'll ask my friends.
[NPC] Dalir: Guys, red pizza or blue pizza?
[NPC] Thondin: Ooh, a blue pizza! That's my favorite!
[NPC] Brarnas: Yes, I suppose we should go for the blue. It feels... familiar. Have we had it before?
[NPC] Dalir: I don't think so. Let's get it.
[NPC] Dalir: Hey! One blue pizza, please. Yup, thanks, we'll come over now, bye!
[NPC] Dalir: Alright guys, let's go grab our pizza! And no more talk of all of this XsimulationX stuff, it scares me!
[NPC] Thondin: Hopefully it'll all be over when we wake up tomorrow...

Trivia

[edit | edit source]
  • Meetings, except for the gap between the meetings on the 28th and the 7th, are 7 in-game days apart (2 hours and 20 minutes in real life time).
  • Dalir is the only cult member players can interact with.
  • Despite the message saying "come back next time" if you forget to wear the helmet, you can simply put on the helmet and then talk to Brarnas again to receive the Starfall Starfall.
  • The Cult of the Fallen Star is likely the antithesis to the Rising Sun as they share the same naming scheme.
  • There is a Fairy Soul at -52, 205, 48, which is accessed from their room.
  • Thondin states that his favourite food is blue pizza during cult meeting #6.
    • The red and blue pizzas are a reference to The Matrix's red pill and blue pill, where the red pill represents learning an unsettling truth, and the blue pill represents remaining in comfortable ignorance.
  • The Cult of the Fallen Star members are one of 5 NPC's to mention the "simulation" or the simulated state of the world of skyblock. Others include the Royal Resident, Oen, Yoshua, and Skylark.
