Diaz the Economist is a mayoral candidate that can be elected during the Mayor Election event. Her perks focus around Coins.
Mayoral Perks

- Diaz the Economist
- Long Term Investment: The elected Minister will appear in the next Election with all of their available perks.
- Volume Trading: Double the item quantity from Shen's Auction, Shen's Special, and Rift Shen's on the year Diaz is elected. Two additional Shen's Special auctions will be available for the duration of Diaz being elected as Mayor.
- Stock Exchange: Participate in the Stonks Auction for a chance to win
Stock of Stonks! Trade them for extravagant items at the Trade Center. - Shopping Spree: Increase daily NPC buy limits by 10x.

[edit | edit source]- The Long Term Investment perk also applies to Diaz herself if she's elected minister and has the minister perk set to this perk.
- Due to both versions of Shen's Auctions refreshing on 1st of Late Spring and the new mayor taking office on 27th of Late Spring, the Volume Trading perk only affects the next auction.
- Diaz's Shopping Spree perk does not apply to
Kiara's shop. - The Shopping Spree perk can be used to skip out on grinding certain items or to resell to the
Bazaar at a higher volume.
- Due to how long they take to grind out, ♲ Ironman players often buy
Dandelions for 
Flower Minion upgrades, as well as 
Sponge and 
Wet Sponge for Sponge Armor, while this perk is active.

- Diaz's old perk, Barrier Street, is most likely a reference to Wall Street.
- Before her perks were overhauled, Diaz was by far the least elected mayor.
- Prior to 0.20.3, Diaz was the only normal mayor to have 2 perks.
- Diaz holds the record for most time between elections, taking 98 years.
- When Diaz is elected with the perk Long Term-investment as Mayor, with a Special Mayor candidate in 2nd place, it implies the minister will have no perks (since Special Mayors do not have a Minister perk).
