Lucius is an NPC located in the Wilderness. They sell the 
Shady Ring and its upgrades to the player.
Shop
[edit | edit source]Lucius will sell a line of Accessories to the player after they have purchased certain amounts of items from the Dark Auction. These Accessories give discounts at most NPC shops. Each Accessory can only be purchased once per player profile.

Trivia
[edit | edit source]- Purchasing the Seal of the Family from Lucius awards the player with the "Lifelong Contract" Achievement.
- The name Lucius is derived from the Latin lūx[1], which means light, and is a cognate both with Lucifer ("light-bringer" in Latin)[2] and the name Lucas (It is derived from the Latin verb "lucere", meaning "to shine".)[3].
- Lucius' name is a reference to the Harry Potter books. In Harry Potter, Lucius Malfoy is Sirius Black's cousin-in-law.
- The Latin name Sirius has roots in Ancient Greek, who's theorised meanings include "sparkling" "flickering" or "scorching", drawing another parallel between the two NPCs.[4]
- Hypixel started counting the number of items each player purchases from the Dark Auction on Dec 4th, 2019. All items purchased prior to that date do not count as bought items.
