Purple Candy is an EPIC item obtained mainly by killing Mobs during the Spooky Festival, among other related sources.

While the Spooky Festival is active, killing Mobs has a 10% chance to grant  Green Candy. This can be increased up to nearly 100% with various modifiers, shown here.

When obtained, there is a base 10% chance of it being a Purple Candy instead. This conversion chance is increased with the following bonuses, which is also not affected by  Magic Find:

For example, a Ghost, which is [Lv250], grants an additional +50% chance. When combined with the base 10% conversion chance and the upgrades listed above, this results in a 68% conversion chance.

Without any bonuses to  Green Candy or Purple Candy chances, that means  Green Candy has a 10% obtaining chance, and  Purple Candy has a 1% obtaining chance.

Helping kill a Headless Horseman can also grant Purple Candy.

Using a  Bat Firework will grant the player between 5-64 Purple Candy, with an average of about 11 per use.

Purple Candy has a 0.015% chance to be obtained per item generated from Minions with the  Sleepy Hollow upgrade applied.

Opening a Trick or Treat Chest has a 17.71% chance to grant 1-4 Purple Candy.

Opening a Party Chest has a 18.012% chance to grant 2-6 Purple Candy.

A  Great Spook Tree can be placed on the player's  Private Island to occasionally generate Purple Candy.

Accepting the Fear Mongerer's Garden Visitor request will grant a  Green Candy or Purple Candy.

Purple Candy can be traded the Fear Mongerer while they are in the  Village in exchange for spooky-themed items, as is the case with  Green Candy.

Obtaining Purple Candy awards the player +5 points in the Spooky Festival, while  Green Candy only gives 1 point. This is only the case for candies dropped directly from killing mobs or by collecting candies from Bats (excluding players' Bat Fireworks).
