Gris

Gris is an NPC located in one of the  Dragontail houses. During the Barbarian Faction Questline, they task the player with obtaining a Heavy Pearl from The Matriarch.

Quest

After giving a Skeleton Fish and Flyfish to Lasea as part of the Barbarian Faction Questline, the player is tasked with speaking to Gris, who asks for them to collect a Heavy Pearl from The Matriarch. After obtaining one, Gris can be then be found inside the house and down the ladder. Providing the Heavy Pearl then rewards the player with 150 ⚒️ Barbarian Reputation and 200,000 Coins. The player must then speak to Chief Scorn to continue the quest.

[NPC] Gris: I'm not a gambler, but if I had to bet on a faction to win this war, I wouldn't bet on us. [NPC] Gris: Soon enough I'll barricade myself in my basement. [NPC] Gris: I have enough provisions to last at least 7 months. [NPC] Gris: That's not enough...no that's far from enough. [NPC] Gris: What I need the most right now is a Heavy Pearl. [NPC] Gris: If you bring one to me I'll reward you handsomely. [NPC] Gris: There is only one way to obtain Heavy Pearls. [NPC] Gris: First you have to go down in that giant cave below the Volcano. [NPC] Gris: From there you need to enter the cave that goes North-West. [NPC] Gris: Inside that cave lives very rare creatures called Hellwisps. [NPC] Gris: If you keep going down and down, you'll find another cave, which leads to The Matriarch. [NPC] Gris: That creature is much larger than the other ones and has been there for decades, if not centuries. [NPC] Gris: To get a Heavy Pearl, you need to let the Matriarch eat you alive. [NPC] Gris: Once you are inside its stomach, you can steal a few pearls. [NPC] Gris: Then all you have to do is escape before the acid kills you, I think there is a way but I'm not so sure how. [NPC] Gris: You have to get the pearls on your first try because the Matriarch won't eat you again. [NPC] Gris: Usually it takes at least a day before she forgets your scent and eats you again. [NPC] Gris: Please bring me back one of those Heavy Pearls.
Before bringing a Heavy Pearl	[NPC] Gris: I think the best way to get out is for The Matriarch to spit you out, but I'll admit I don't know how.

[NPC] Gris: Now that you mention it, I remember how to escape the belly of the Matriarch! [NPC] Gris: All you have to do it punch its uvula! [NPC] Gris: In a way they are not so different than us. [NPC] Gris: Thank you very much, here take these Coins. +200,000 Coins!
