Netherrack is a COMMON collection item found primarily on the Crimson Isle. It gives +0.5 Mining experience when mined.

Collecting netherracks increases the player's netherrack collection, which grants useful items and perks upon collecting certain amounts of netherracks.

Kuudra Follower Boots

Kuudra Follower Boots requires 1,000,000 in Netherrack Collection and 1,024 Enchanted Netherrack to be given to Kuudra Loremaster to claim the boots.

Trivia

Smelting Touch Pickaxes / Drills will automatically smelt the netherrack into Nether Brick. This will not count towards the collection, so the player must use a tool without smelting touch.
Netherrack used to be one of the hardest collections to maintain at #1, although current #1 on leaderboard^[1] 5[MVP+] niqhta [2] has almost double the amount of #2.
Netherrack is one of the only collections that does not have a Minion, the others being Gemstone, Magmafish, Sulphur and Ink Sac.
- Since there is no minion for Netherrack, the most efficient way to collect is to equip Snail Pet as well as wear Rancher's Boots and other Mineral Armor pieces.
Prior to the Nether update's release, players were able to access the Blazing Fortress as early as Combat Level V. Notably, those on the Ironman gamemode could quickly reach netherrack collection V and unlock the recipe for the Magical Lava Bucket.
Netherrack can be stored in 3 different sacks (Nether Sack, Lava Fishing Sack and Mining Sack) which is more than any other resource, except for Magma Cream, which can also be stored in 3 sacks.
