Sulphur is an UNCOMMON collection item and crafting ingredient, obtained from Sulphur Ore found on the Crimson Isle.

Collection

Collecting Sulphur increases the player's Sulphur Collection, which unlocks the recipes for certain items upon collecting certain amounts of pieces of Sulphur.

Obtaining

Mining

After the Blazing Volcano erupts, Sulphur Ore is scattered all over the Crimson Isle. It appears as Sponge Sponge, and requires tools with Breaking Power 8 to mine. Each block mined gives Sulphur 1 Sulphur, affected by Mining Fortune.

Combat

Sulphur can also be obtained by killing Corrupted Mobs. Each Corrupted Mob will drop Sulphur 1 Sulphur. Matchos and Chickzilla can also drop Sulphur.

Corrupted Mobs spawn rarely in place of normal mobs on the Crimson Isle. The Totem of Corruption Totem of Corruption will convert nearby mobs to Corrupted, Sulphur Ore will convert mobs that touch it to corrupted, and minions upgraded with Corrupt Soil Corrupt Soil will spawn Corrupted mobs in place of normal mobs.

Fishing

Sulphur can also be caught while Treasure Fishing in Crimson Isle:

Sulphur can be placed in the Quiver to be used as projectiles for the Sulphur Bow Sulphur Bow.
