PEST_MOUSE_1Pests are a group of Pest Mobs that can spawn in The Garden starting at
Garden V (5). Pests can only be damaged using Vacuums. When vacuumed, players gain 1 Pest as a currency.
Pests
[edit | edit source]Spawning
[edit | edit source]Pests are able to spawn on The Garden in a few ways starting at
Garden V (5).
Farming
[edit | edit source]Pests are able to spawn while a Player is actively farming. Pests have a base 0.2% (1 in 500) chance to spawn per crop broken while off cooldown. The chance can be increased by up to 200% using
Salty Sprayonator, and 18% using the
Atmospheric Filter during Autumn with Filter Upgrade X, making the highest possible chance 0.636% (1 in 157.23) during Autumn or 0.6% (1 in 166.67) outside of Autumn.[Confirm]
Pests may spawn in the plot the player is farming in or in any of the 4 adjacent plots, including default plots and Greenhouse plots, but excluding locked plots, void plots, and the Barn plot.
Bonus Pest Chance
[edit | edit source]By default, only one Pest will spawn at a time. This can be increased via Bonus Pest Chance.
Spawn Cooldown
[edit | edit source]After Pests spawn, spawning goes on cooldown for a base 5 Minutes. The cooldown can be modified from a few sources, all of which stack additively.[Confirm]
| Source | Modifier |
|---|---|
| -20% | |
| -10% | |
| -10% | |
| -15% | |
| -10% | |
| -10% | |
| Squeaky on Equipment | -2.5% each |
| Pest Cooldown ( |
up to -5s |
| 2x | |
| 4x |
The minimum achievable cooldown is 1 minutes 10 seconds with Pest Eradicator and 2 minutes 10 seconds without, while the maximum is 20 minutes.
Pest Repellent and
Pest Repellent MAX do not stack, with the latter taking priority.
Attracting Specific Pests
[edit | edit source]By default, each Pest has a weight of 100, meaning they have an equal chance to be chosen whenever one spawns. The weights for specific pests can be modified in several ways.[1]
| Method | Effect |
|---|---|
| Increases the weight of targeted Pests by 1,000. | |
| Increases the weight of the targeted Pest by 1,000. | |
| Increases the effectiveness of Stereo Harmony by 0.5%–50% (bringing its weight increase to 1,005–1,500). |
Offline
[edit | edit source]While no players are present and the The Garden is unloaded, Offline Pests are able to spawn at a rate of 1 Pest per 1 Hour.
Disco
[edit | edit source]
Buzzybee's Fantabulous Disco Destination can be placed on The Garden to force all offline Pests to spawn within 10 blocks of it. It requires each Pest's corresponding Pest Vinyl to attract it. Only one
Buzzybee's Fantabulous Disco Destination can be placed at a time.
Traps
[edit | edit source]If the player has
Pest Traps,
Mouse Traps, or
Vermin Traps placed down with Sprayonator material inside, Pests can spawn in them. Each Pest that spawns in a trap consumes 1 Sprayonator material. Whether the player is online or offline, the spawn rate is about 1 Pest per 15 Minutes.
Field Mouse
[edit | edit source]A
Field Mouse can spawn in a
Pest Trap with a base chance of 2.78% (1 in 36), a
Mouse Trap with a base chance of 7.89% (1 in 12.67), or a
Vermin Trap with a base chance of 10.26% (1 in 9.75). The chance for a Field Mouse is also affected by Tracking.
Lunar Moth
[edit | edit source]A
Lunar Moth is guaranteed to spawn in any trap with
Moondew.
Behavior
[edit | edit source]Most pests will attempt to flee from the player, but they also try to stay in the plot they spawned in, with the exception of the
Earthworm pest who will not try to flee from the player.
When 4 or more Pests are on The Garden at once, the player's Farming Fortune (as well as each crop-specific fortune stat) is reduced, first by 5% and then multiples of 15%. Farming Fortune will continue to be lost for each additional Pest, up to 8, after which no more Pests will spawn until at least one is killed. The maximum Farming Fortune loss is 75%.
For each 100 Bonus Pest Chance the player has, they can have 1 more Pest on their Garden before their Farming Fortune starts being reduced. The reduction then starts at 5% and scales from there.

Uses
[edit | edit source]Pests can be exchanged at
Pesthunter Phillip to gain temporary 5 Farming Fortune for 30 minutes per consumed Pest, up to 40 Pests. They can also be exchanged for various items in
Pesthunter Phillip's shop.
Drops
[edit | edit source]Guaranteed Drops
[edit | edit source]Each Pest drops a specific number of its respective crop, this number is affected by Farming Fortune and the crop's respective Crop Fortune.
Field Mouse always drops one of these crops. It does not consider Crop Fortune, but the crop drops are 1.5x of those from a regular Pest.
Killing a Pest also rewards the player with 5 Bits, multiplied by their Bits Multiplier.
Rare Drops
[edit | edit source]All non-guaranteed Pest drops have their drop rate increased by Overbloom.
The formula for drop chance for rare drops is:
For pet drops (
Rat Pet and
Slug Pet), the formula also includes Pet Luck:[2][3]
All Pests can drop their respective Feast RARE CROP if it is in-season. Field Mice have a 30% chance to drop one of the in-season crop's RARE CROP at random.
Overview
[edit | edit source]Hunting
[edit | edit source]All Pests can be Charmed or Lassoed to obtain their Attribute Shards and +150
Hunting XP. The amount of Attribute Shards dropped is affected by Hunting Fortune.
Tips
[edit | edit source]- The maximum damage that can be dealt to Pests requires an
InfiniVacuum™ Hooverius reforged with
Clipped Wings and
5 Bookworm's Favorite Book applied, [Lv100]
Hedgehog Pet equipped, Insect Power X, and the
Book of Progression on Extra Infliction.
- This deals 2,200 Damage[Confirm] damage before factoring in the
Book of Progression.

Trivia
[edit | edit source]- While most non-Pest-specific damage sources do not grant extra damage towards Pests, the
Book of Progression's Extra Infliction ability does. - The base mob type is a
Bat for Pests that can fly (
Fly,
Mosquito,
Moth) and
Silverfish for the rest. - If a flying or a running Pest manages to get out of the plot it spawned in, it will be teleported back into the correct plot within a few seconds. Jumping Pests return inside the plot on their own unless they cannot, in which case they too get teleported.
- During testing on the Alpha Hypixel Network,
Pesthunter Phillip allowed an option to prevent a Pest from spawning during Jacob's Farming Contests.
Bugs
[edit | edit source]- Even though Pests have 600 health, when hunting Pests a damage indicator appears. The damage indicator is affected by Crit Damage and Strength.
Notes
[edit | edit source]- The bonus from Garden bestiary functions differently with different effects:
- Each tier of each of the mobs, including
Timestalk Clone and
Zombuddy grants 0.4 , up to a total of 100 Farming Fortune.
Hedgehog Pet's Hunter's Insight and
Brown Bandana ignore the above mobs (as they're not Pests), leading to a total of 157.5 Farming Fortune and 45 Bonus Pest Chance respectively.
- Each tier of each of the mobs, including

Is pet luck included in the formula? Before the Overbloom change pet luck affected Rat and Slug pets drop rates at 1/6 of normal rates. Is it changed now, or is it still affected by it?
Yes looks like it

i am assuming it's 1+(Pet Luck/600) still then because based on testing it seemed impossible that it's 1+(Pet Luck/100)
this is correct
