Blue Goblin Eggs can be dropped from chests in the  Goblin Holdout in the  Crystal Hollows. The chests can either be found in naturally spawning structures like the Goblin Queen's Den and by King Yolkar or can be spawned by the player while mining Hardstone in the  Goblin Holdout.

A Blue Goblin Egg has a 1.22% (1 in 81.75 rolls) to drop from Umber and Tungsten Corpses, and a 4.55% (1 in 21.97 rolls) to drop from Vanguard Corpses. Additionally, 2 Blue Goblin Eggs have a 2.28% (1 in 43.94 rolls) to drop from a Vanguard Corpse.

When throwing a Blue Goblin Egg, there's 10% (1 in 10 eggs) chance to spawn a Golden Goblin. There's a base 3.33% chance to be replaced with Diamond Goblin. Golden Goblins cannot be spawned on Private Island.

The Blue Goblin Egg can be used as a Machine Fuel, adding 20,000  Fuel.
