Goldor is a FINAL-BOSS along with Maxor, Storm and Necron of The Catacombs in The Catacombs - Floor VII and is a disciple of The Wither King.

Boss Fight

The boss fight is split into four phases. (Five phases in Master Mode.) There are four Wither Lords: Maxor, Storm, Goldor and Necron. Each Wither will be a boss for a phase that must be killed individually for each phase.

In all parts of the boss fight, lava damages the player for 20% of their max health, as well as launching them upwards. When being launched by lava, the player has an unknown chance to launch much higher than usual.

Phase 3

Storm in Phase 2 will destroy the broken red crusher with a beam, breaking the red pad below and revealing the third layer and the next boss: Goldor. Players must jump down into the third layer; the beam can target players, dealing damage and knockback. After a short while, Goldor will follow the players in at a slow and steady pace while throwing his Greatswords.

The third layer comprises four sections with three gates between them. Within each section, there are four Terminals, two levers and one device, which must all be completed, except the second section, which has five terminals. These terminals are located on the walls, with lava on the floor and floating platforms connecting them. There are also some TNT traps hanging on top of each section. They will detonate if hit by Goldor's Greatsword. After everything is completed within one section, there is a five-second delay before the gate opens, and players can proceed to the next section. Alternatively, if the player destroys the gate using either Superboom TNT or Guided Sheep, it skips the delay, and the gate opens once everything is done within one section.

In this section, Goldor cannot be harmed. His frenzy now deals extremely high damage. After Goldor passes a section, it starts to destroy itself with explosions that harm any remaining players. Dealing damage to Goldor slows him down. The Spider Pet's Web-Weaver perk (Rare+) can slow down Goldor further, allowing for more time to complete the terminals.

After completing all Terminals, Goldor becomes surrounded by swords to block player's attacks and launch Wither Skulls at a fast rate. In exchange, Goldor is vulnerable to any form of attack, though caution is advised as his frenzy is still active. Once Goldor dies, the players will progress into the next phase.

Trivia

Goldor was going to be the BOSS of The Catacombs - Floor VIII before Hypixel removed Maxor, Goldor and Storm from the game and replaced them with Necron.
- All three bosses were later re-added to The Catacombs - Floor VII.
Goldor's Armor and Goldor the Fish are references to this boss.
Goldor could be slowed by using a Phantom Rod.
Goldor is the only Wither Lord that never gets stunned during its fighting phase. Maxor, Storm and Necron all have their respective states during which they are stunned and able to take damage.
Goldor is the only Wither Lord to use a normal texture of his base mob, the Wither. Maxor, Storm and Necron all use the blue texture of that particular mob.
