Boss Fight
[edit | edit source]The boss fight is split into four phases (Five phases in Master Mode). There are four Wither Lords: Maxor, Storm, Goldor and Necron. Each Wither will be a boss for a phase that must be killed individually for each phase.
Phase 1
[edit | edit source]Maxor's fight begins in a factory-like arena. Once the fight begins, large numbers of Wither Miners and Guards appear in the arena. He will be invulnerable. Players must retrieve two Energy Crystals from high ledges and place them on the podiums at the sides of the arena. This activates a laser at the back of the arena, which Maxor must be lured into. This process must be done at least twice. The first time Maxor is in the laser, he will be vulnerable until losing 75% of his Health. After that, Maxor becomes enraged and invulnerable again. The second time or later, Maxor becomes vulnerable, but doesn't have a damage cap. Once Maxor dies, the players will progress into the next phase.

[edit | edit source]- Maxor was going to be the BOSS of The Catacombs - Floor VII before Hypixel removed Maxor, Goldor and Storm from the game and replaced them with Necron.
- All three bosses were later re-added to The Catacombs - Floor VII.
Maxor's Armor and 
Maxor the Fish are references to this boss.- Starting in 1.21.5 and beyond, Maxor, Storm, & Necron will now appear with normal textures of the Wither.
