Spider's Den

The Spider's Den is a Combat location unlocked after reaching Combat I (1).

Tasks

When the player first enters  Spider's Den, they will be greeted with the following message:

NEW AREA DISCOVERED!

 Spider's Den

■ Talk to Haymitch.

■ Watch out for spiders!

■ Try to make it to the top of the Spider Mound.

■ Learn about the Bestiary.

Features

The Spider's Den can be accessed after the player has attained Combat I (1) by using a Launchpad found in the back of the Graveyard. It can also be accessed with the Portal to The Spider's Den or Travel Scroll to the Spider's Den. This will take the player to a different sub-server containing The Spiders Den.

The Spider's Den has multiple sub-regions: The  Spider Mound with multiple chasms and stairs containing weaker mobs,  Grandma's House containing multiple NPCs, the  Gravel Mines, and  Arachne's Burrow,  Archaeologist's Camp with Archaeologist and  Arachne's Sanctuary containing stronger versions of the spiders found in the den (This is where you can find the Arachne boss). The spiders get stronger in deeper regions of the cave. These enemies include:

Dasher Spiders, which dash towards players.
Splitter Spiders, which spawn silverfish upon death.
Weaver Spiders, which shoot cobweb at the players.
Voracious Spiders, which have significantly higher health and damage than other spiders.
Spider Jockeys, which have a Skeleton on their back.

In  Arachne's Burrow, all spiders have a chance to drop an Arachne's Calling, which can be used to summon the boss Arachne, which has two versions depending on how she's summoned.

On the outskirts of the islands, one may also find Rain Slimes, Toxic Rain Slimes and Gravel Skeletons, with the former spawning on the road between  Arachne's Burrow and the Spiders Den during rain while the latter spawns near the gravel pit.

Every 40 minutes on the  Spider's Den, 20 minutes of Rain begins. While raining, players gain +25 Fishing Speed and Rain Slimes spawn. After raining twice, the third rain becomes a thunderstorm and in addition to previous effects Toxic Rain Slimes start to spawn.

Tiny Island

The Tiny Island is a feature located in between The End and the Spiders Den. It can be accessed by a Barrier bridge. The island's purpose is to house a single Fairy Soul.

The navigation shown should be followed with your character facing North, while not changing your point of view! Hold down ⇧ Shift to avoid falling off.

Alternatively, player can navigate by looking for borders of invisible blocks that appear when block is pointed at with the crosshair.

It is also possible to use an Aspect of the End or Grappling Hook and get there although it may be quite difficult.

Trivia

The skeleton of the dragon is revealed to be the Chozon, one of the generals of the Great Dragon, Jythar who lies next to  The Bastion, on the  Crimson Isle.
- Corm (on the  Crimson Isle) reveals this in their dialogue.
While the Spider's Den applies the Mining Fatigue effect to the player, the Gravel is not affected by Mining Speed, instead it emulates vanilla mining behavior.
