Tips

Due to the Tarantula Pet granting a multiplicative Combat XP buff against Spiders, it is better than the Wolf Pet, which grants an additive Combat Wisdom bonus.

Trivia

The Tarantula Pet is the only pet in the game where its EPIC and LEGENDARY variants can be obtained from two completely different sources.
- The Magma Cube Pet is similar, but differs in rarity.
The Tarantula Pet is one of 5 pets designed for its respective Slayer: the others being the Ghoul Pet for Zombie Slayer, the Hound Pet for Wolf Slayer, the MYTHIC Enderman Pet for Enderman Slayer, and the Wisp Pet for Blaze Slayer.
If the player already has an EPIC Tarantula Pet in their pets menu when they obtain a LEGENDARY one from Arachne, their existing pet's rarity will be upgraded. This is a unique mechanic that so far isn't used for any other pet drops.
The Tarantula Pet uses the Blood Spider player head texture.
The Battle Arachnid ( Areita Shard) attribute buffs the pet's stats by up to +20 Crit Damage.
