When mining any Mithril Ore within the  Dwarven Mines and  Glacite Tunnels, there is a 2% base chance that Titanium Ore will spawn in its place. This chance is increased by the Titanium Insanium Heart of the Mountain perk, up to 7%.

 Titanium does not spawn upon mining Mithril within the  Crystal Hollows.

• Mithril is a fictional material originating from J.R.R Tolkien's Middle Earth universe. Dwarves forged it into armor that cannot be pierced by even the strongest blades. This is referenced not only shown by the name of the Dwarven Metal but also by the  Mithril Coat, a direct reference to Tolkien's Middle-earth Mithril.
  • This material also appears in Terraria, albeit spelled Mythril^[1], rather than Mithril.
• Inside the  Dwarven Mines and  Glacite Tunnels, only the Mithril in the texture of  Gray Wool and  Cyan Hardened Clay can be insta-mined.  Light Blue Wool Mithril cannot be insta-mined, even inside the  Crystal Hollows.
