Living Metal Heart can be obtained by breaking all the blocks that formed a Living Metal Snake by using a  Self-Recursive Pickaxe,  Anti-Sentient Pickaxe,  Eon Pickaxe, or  Chrono Pickaxe after having used a  Frozen Water Pungi on it.

The player who mines the snake's head, as well as any players who used a  Frozen Water Pungi on the snake's head, both receive a Living Metal Heart.

• While Living Metal Hearts are intended to be farmed together by at least two players, it is possible to do it alone. The easiest way to do this is to hold right click, calm the snake using a  Frozen Water Pungi, and then quickly swap to a pickaxe and mine a block, while still holding right click in order to be able to quickly swap back to the Frozen Water Pungi. There is a grace period of a few seconds before the snake starts moving again. This process can be repeated for each block until the snake's head is mined.
  • When done this way, the player will still only receive one Living Metal Heart per snake, rather than two.
  • The  Anti-Sentient Pickaxe cannot be used while solo, because it takes too long to break the head of the snake.
• The best tool to use is the  Self-Recursive Pickaxe, as it breaks the head of the snake fastest. The rest of the snake is broken at equal speeds regardless of the tool used.
