Note: If you are having issues placing Water Bottles in a brewing stand, they are probably Tagless Items. Throw them on the ground and pick them up to fix the issue.

Awkward Potions are the most common Brews, useless on their own but used to make any brewable Potion except for weakness potion

Certain potions can have the awkward potion replaced by one of the other Brews, which can be bought from the Bartender, Shifty and Melancholic Viking for added stat bonuses. It is a universal Base Potion.

It is made by adding Nether Wart to Water Bottles.

Brewing Stand

As a part of the features specific to Hypixel SkyBlock, brewing potions was turned into a skill,  Alchemy.

Crafting one Awkward Potion gives +5  Alchemy Experience, and a player can make three at a time using only one Nether Wart.

That makes the cost efficiency of making Awkward Potions for Alchemy experience approximately 0.31 exp/coin if making one at a time, or 0.54 exp/coin if making three at a time.
