The Beacon is a tiered RARE-EPIC block that grants special buffs to players and minions on the island. The recipe for the first tier is unlocked at Mithril IX (9); subsequent tiers can be obtained from The Forge at higher Heart of the Mountain levels.

Usage

Only 1 Beacon can be placed on a Private Island.

In order to power the Beacon the player must fuel it with Power Crystal Power Crystals or Scorched Power Crystal Scorched Power Crystals, granting 48 hours of power per crystal. Breaking a Beacon will cause any fuel to be lost. There is no maximum amount of time that the Beacon can be fueled for at once, other than the 64-bit integer limit of 2.923e8 years.[1]

The Beacon gives a chosen stat to the player on all different SkyBlock Islands. Using a Scorched Power Crystal Scorched Power Crystal increases the given stat boost by +20%.
The Beacon can be used to boost all Minions. Using a Scorched Power Crystal Scorched Power Crystal gives an additional +1% to the minion buff.

Trivia

  • Powering any Beacon will grant the player the "Beaconator 2.0" Achievement.
  • Prior to update 0.11.1, the minion buffs given by the Beacon were 10x what they were meant to be (i.e. a Beacon I would give a 20% minion buff instead of 2%, and so on.)
  • Contrary to popular belief, the minion buff does indeed apply to offline calculations.
  • Magic Find is the only buff that affects the Rift Dimension. Intelligence does not.
