Changelog/2026/September 1

0.27.1

Hypixel SkyBlock 0.27.1 - Chocolate Factory Improvements, QOL Changes, and more!

Updated: September 1, 2026

Hello! Today we've got a smaller release to Hypixel SkyBlock which includes some new content for the Chocolate Factory, many QOL changes, and bug fixes. We've also got an Announcements Roundup at the end of the thread to let you know what's in store for SkyBlock in the near future.

► Chocolate Factory Improvements

[edit | edit source]

➥ Rabbit Factions

[edit | edit source]

Starting at Chocolate Factory V, you'll unlock the Faction Tower, where you're able to select one of four Factions: the City Rabbits, the Mountain Rabbits, the Country Rabbits, and the Beach Rabbits. You can change which Faction you are aligned with for 1B Chocolate.

Being part of a Faction means you can find new Rabbits that are exclusive to that Faction. Finding these Rabbits are special, as they don't get automatically added to your collection. Instead, they'll drop as an item that you can trade with other players or buy/sell on the Bazaar. Right-clicking on them consumes the item and adds them to your collection permanently.

Each Faction has 4 levels of dedication that you can level up using Chocolate, the higher the level, the higher the rarity of Faction Rabbits you can potentially find! Each Faction has 5 COMMON, 4 UNCOMMON, 3 RARE, 2 EPIC, and 1 LEGENDARY Chocolate Rabbit to find. Note that Faction Rabbits are twice as rare as Chocolate Rabbits of the same rarity.

➥ Chocobits

[edit | edit source]

Starting at Chocolate Factory VI, you'll unlock the Chocobit Tower, which allows you to find SPECIAL Chocobit Rabbits that no one else in SkyBlock can have at the same time! There are 33,333 Chocobits total and they drop twice as frequently as MYTHIC Rabbits, and they each add 0.2x to the multiplier of your Chocolate Factory! Note that Chocobits are not stored in your normal Chocolate Rabbit Collection and they do not take up space.

...but there's a catch! You must pay 1M Coins each SkyBlock Year per Chocobit you own, or else it'll be released back into the pool for anyone to potentially get! When a Chocobit gets released, they'll give you two SkyBlock Years worth of Chocolate production that they would've made otherwise as a thanks!

If you already have every DIVINE Chocolate Rabbit, the pity for it will be replaced with pity for Chocobits.

► Announcements Roundup

[edit | edit source]

➥ Regarding Minister Perks

[edit | edit source]

As we announced on the 0.27.1 Release Candidate thread, the Ministers update is planned to come out a little later. We've been in contact with Ministers to make sure that they are happy with their addition/change to the game. We're currently in the process of reworking several perks that the Ministers have asked us to.

➥ Regarding Mob Level Improvements

[edit | edit source]

We have decided that Mob Level Improvements needs a little bit more adjusting before it's ready to release. Please continue leaving any feedback you have regarding the mob level changes on the 0.27.1 Release Candidate thread.

➥ Regarding Foraging

[edit | edit source]

Though feedback to Torrhus Canyon has been great, we have heard the community's concerns that Foraging currently feels like quite an isolated skill that, outside of Hunting, doesn't tie in with the rest of the game. We'd like to formally acknowledge these concerns and let the community know that we have concrete plans for ensuring Foraging's resources are used throughout the rest of the game.

➥ Regarding Greenhouse

[edit | edit source]

We would like to take a moment and address some of the concerns about the most recent patch to the Greenhouse on the 20th of August and also talk about a few follow-up changes we have planned.

One of the biggest issues for us going into that patch was Ashwreaths. It’s a COMMON Mutation, and in the 7 days before the change it accounted for just under 25% of all Mutation income. It was way too easy to maintain and it was giving way too many Coins for what it is, so we didn’t really have another choice besides nerfing it. Phantomleaves and Zombuds took up 2nd and 3rd on the podium, which is why they also got nerfed:

Overall, within the seven-day period from August 14th-20th:

  • 9.38 Trillion coins were generated, compared to only 6.01T coins being sunk
    • 1.09T was generated from Mutations (11.62% of all coins generated)
    • 3.69T was generated from Active Farming (39.34% of all coins generated)
      • Overall, 50.96% of all coins generated in that seven-day period came from Farming.

In the week after the patch, August 21st-27th, the data was like so:

  • 9.15 Trillion coins were generated, compared to only 5.72T coins being sunk
    • 577B was generated from Mutations (6.31% of all coins generated)
    • 3.38T was generated from Active Farming (36.94% of all coins generated)
      • Overall, 43.25% of all coins generated in that seven-day period came from Farming.

Since the August 20th changes, we have observed more diversity in which Mutations players have been growing, something we hoped the balancing changes would induce. We also have some follow-up changes planned:

  • Watering and decay will no longer kill plants - only "freeze" them until you return so as to not penalize players for logging in at the wrong time.
  • A Mutation spreading mininum will be introduced, which will guarantee you can spread a certain amount of Mutations before you crops decay. More details on this will come later, but we're planning on being quite generous with the mechanic.

We will also be taking a look at the Unique Crop Bonus. Since we added decay to base crops, you currently have to replant them every three days just to keep the bonus, which can get annoying fast. The idea of the Unique Crop Bonus has lost most of its meaning and isn't really used in a healthy manner, especially at the endgame of the Greenhouse. To remedy this, we’re planning on adding a new Attribute Shard you can earn from analyzing mutations. This Shard will let you cover the Unique Crop Bonus without having to keep extra plants in the Greenhouse for it. We’ll also be reducing the bonus from 12 down to 10 and adjusting the values so they make sense to fit in the Shard nicely.

We hope to have these changes out somewhat soon, but we don't have a concrete date to share at this moment.

➥ Ashwood Citadel → Pale Citadel

[edit | edit source]
Work in-progress gif, subject to change!

Back in April, we announced that we were working on a new piece of combat content for SkyBlock titled the Ashwood Citadel, now renamed to the Pale Citadel. In the time since then progress has been steady, over half of the bosses and enemies in the raid have been implemented.

➥ Magic Find QOL

[edit | edit source]

This previously announced update is wrapping up the QA Phase and we hope to see it on the Alpha Network soon. This will be a prolonged, iterative of Alpha Testing in the same vein as Torrhus Canyon and the Minister Perks.

➥ Accessory Bag Revamp

[edit | edit source]
Work in-progress image, subject to change!

We've begun development on a revamp to the Accessory Bag that turns it into more of a Museum-type menu rather than a standard Minecraft inventory. The plan is for each Accessory line in the game to have a dedicated slot in the Accessory Bag. This allows us to add proper sorting/filtering and search features, with the added benefit of making it super easy to see what Accessories you are still missing!

Each slot will tell you where you can find that Accessory within SkyBlock along with if it has any upgrades, a feature that we think will greatly help newer players.

➥ Early Game Fishing Improvements

[edit | edit source]

Also in the works are some early-game fishing changes/content that will focus on expanding the Fishing Outpost in The Hub. For new players, this means a more streamlined introduction to pre-bayou fishing, and for veterans it means changes to the bait system that make certain baits more accessible and makes the bulk-crafting of baits significantly easier.

And that's all for today! If you encounter any bugs or unexpected behavior, make sure to report it HERE!
