Golden Goblin is a passive Mob that spawns from  Goblin Eggs, or by mining most ores in the  Dwarven Mines and  Crystal Hollows.

Golden Goblins are a rare spawn from throwing Goblin Eggs:

When the Golden Goblin spawns, the following message will display in chat:
A Golden Goblin has spawned!
Golden Goblins will de-spawn after 30 seconds.

Golden Goblins have a 3.33% chance to be replaced by Diamond Goblins. This chance can be increased by Return to Sender Perk and  Tracking.

Golden Goblins run away from the player, and jump off cliffs. Their behavior is similar to the Hidden Jerrys that can be spawned during Mayor Jerry's time in office.

• Despite the kill message being affected by Heart of the Mountain, Drills and Powder Pumpkin powder boosts, ᠅ Mithril Powder drop is not actually affected by them or any other buffs.

• The first time spawning a Golden Goblin from throwing a Goblin Egg will grant the "The Next Generation" Achievement.
•  Shadow Fury can be used to chase a Golden Goblin even if out of sight.
• Killing 1 Golden Goblin is a possible task for Commission Slot 2 (or 4, with Peak of the Mountain level 3).^[Confirm]
  • Using  Mineral Armor with a  Stonk in the Puzzler's room used to be a way to complete this quest quickly. However, this was patched when the ores in the Puzzler's room were filled with planks.
• Golden Goblins contribute to the 100 necessary kills in the Goblin Slayer commission.
• Killing Golden Goblins contributes to the tiered "Goblin Killer" Achievement.
• Golden Goblins cannot be spawned on the Private Island.
• Despite being an  Elusive mob, chance to spawn a Golden Goblin is not increased by  Tracking.
