Shielded mobs are a Mob Type which, instead of taking regular damage like most other mobs, have very little health and take 1 Damage per hit: for example, the 
Golden Goblin, 
Stoneworm, 
Superprotectron, 
Star Sentry and most mobs found in the Spooky Festival.
