Ferocity
Ferocity is a damage stat that increases the chance of attacks hitting multiple times.
The maximum number of hits per second with Ferocity and Attack Speed can be calculated using this calculator:
calcpage = Calculator:Hit Count template = Template:Calculator/Hit Count form = hitCountCalcForm calcname = Hit Count Calculator result = inner param = basehitcount|Base Hit Amount|1|int param = ferocity|Ferocity|0|int param = attackspeed|Attack Speed|0|int

Mechanics
[edit | edit source]Each point of Ferocity grants a +1% chance for an attack to strike an extra time. For example, with 50 Ferocity it grants the player a 50% chance for their attack to hit twice. Ferocity above multiples of 100 also allow for extra triggers, meaning Ferocity above 100 allows your attack to strike three times, and so on. For example, 250 Ferocity would grant a 100% chance to strike three times, and a 50% chance to strike a fourth time.
Ferocity works on melee and arrows, but not magic.
Ferocity does not activate Life Steal or Drain.
When using melee weapons, Ferocity fails to activate when the player is more than 6 blocks away from the target.[1][2][3]

Highest Possible Ferocity
[edit | edit source]The highest possible Ferocity can be achieved using the following:
Atomsplit Katana (Soulcry active): +400 against
Endermen- Holding a
Valkyrie (Vicious V) + Dirty + (
Recombobulator 3000): = 80 - 4/4
Final Destination Armor +200 against
Endermen
Magma Lord Necklace: +2
Hollow Wand (Raging Wind x2, Ichor Pool): = +70 - All accessories (including
Handy Blood Chalice) + all
Ferocity Enrichments = 84.8
Jerry Candy (included in
God Potion): +2
Zombie Brain Mixin: +10
Latest Update Century Cake: +2 - [Lv100] LEGENDARY
Tiger Pet (
Hephaestus Relic): = 37.5 and +30%
This adds up to a base 206.3 , becoming 268.19 Ferocity with the percentage bonus from the
Tiger Pet, but capped at 500 . If we include Ferocity against
Endermen, which bypasses the cap but is not buffed by the
Tiger Pet, we end up with a total of 800 Ferocity, meaning each hit results in 8 additional hits.
If we were to ignore the stat cap entirely, the total would be 868.19 Ferocity, meaning each hit results in 8 additional hits and has a 68.19% (1 in 1.466) chance to hit a 9th time.
Trivia
[edit | edit source]- Ferocity is disabled for Berserkers in dungeons.
- Ferocity against Endermen can reach numbers higher than 500.
- Killing an Enderman with a Ferocity strike causes its death sound to not play.
- Using a Bow can activate Ferocity from range.
- This is especially noticeable in the Voidgloom Seraph fight as this ability can destroy the Hitshield rapidly. However, Explosive Arrows or a bow that can damage Endermen is required to do this. It is recommended to use Juju Shortbow or Terminator to achieve this.
- Before Ferocity was added the tiger pet's ability Merciless Swipe had worked the same way like Ferocity. The former ability had a chance to trigger a second hit and was always triggered with a [Lv100] Tiger Pet.
