Mechanics

Cold increases within the  Glacite Tunnels,  Glacite Mineshafts, and the Icy Biome of the  Critter Safari. Every 5 seconds, 1 Cold is added to the player. The time it takes to increase Cold is affected by Cold Resistance. When the player reaches 100 Cold, they die instantly.

Every 1 Cold the player has above their Cold Resistance reduces their Mining Speed by 0.5% and every 25 Cold reduces Speed cap by 25% regardless of Cold Resistance.

Inside  Glacite Mineshafts, Cold builds up 25% faster. Getting hit by Glacite Maniacs increases player's Cold by 1.

While in the Icy Biome of the  Critter Safari, entering the water causes Cold to increase at 4x the normal rate.

Cold can be managed in various ways. Cold Resistance increases the time needed to gain 1 Cold while the following decrease Cold outright.

Penguin Pet	LEGENDARY	Thick Blubber Each time you catch a Sea Creature, reduce your Cold by 1 → 6.

The Phoenix Pet's Rekindle ability saves the player from dying to 100 Cold.
- When this happens, the player gets teleported back to the  Dwarven Mines spawn point without the death penalty.
The Mammoth Pet's Wooly Coat ability gives the player a 1% → 100% chance to not receive Cold when being damaged by enemies in the  Glacite Mineshafts.
