[June 24] SkyBlock Resource Pack, Loadouts, and Healing Revamp Changes

Updated: June 24, 2026

Hello!

06/24 Changes

  • Reduced the cooldown from the wardrobe, equipment wardrobe, power stones and tuning points from 30 seconds back to 0 seconds

Designer Note: As mentioned below in the thread, this change was purely dependent on player feedback and we quickly realized that there are quite a lot of situations a 30 second cooldown applied to everything would simply cause too many issues for now.
However, we still think that a Hotm/Hotf cooldown is necessary, which is why from now on loadouts and hotm/hotf slots themselves will apply a 30 second cooldown on swap. If you don't swap your hotm/hotf loadouts from loadout to loadout, then that cooldown won't apply.

06/29 SkyBlock Resource Pack Changes

  • Added custom icons for all stats and mob types in the game
  • Removed the in-hand models for these items:
    • Wither Blades
    • Midas' Sword
    • Mythological Weapons
    • Tormentor
    • Cleavers
    • Yeti Sword
  • Mythological Weapons have been completely redesigned
  • Cleavers have been completely redesigned
  • Yeti Sword has been slightly redesigned
  • Improved Jerry-chine Gun texture
  • Anti-Sentient Pickaxe looks less like a sword now
  • Simplified the textures of Longswords
  • Most Wands have been given a more distinct look
  • Summoning Eyes have changed to look closer to their in-game model
  • The shapes of Jasper and Ruby Gemstones have been swapped
  • Minor changes to the following items:
    • Ragnarock
    • Sword of Bad Health
    • Shadow Fury
    • Livid Dagger
    • Adaptive Blade
    • Blade of the Volcano

Today on the Alpha Network we've got the first version of the SkyBlock Resource Pack and a new Loadouts system, which includes the highly requested Equipment Wardrobe. Further changes have also been made to the Healing Revamp update.

You'll need to be on Minecraft version 1.21.11 or higher in order to join this Alpha session, although we recommend using version 26.2 instead.

➥ Resource Pack FAQ

[edit | edit source]

What Minecraft version do I need to be on?
You must be on at least Minecraft version 1.21.11 or higher in order to join the Alpha Network.

With the release of Minecraft 26.2 recently, we are dropping support for versions 1.21.9 and 1.21.10. Please update soon if you haven't already. In a few weeks' time, we'll also drop support for 1.21.11, so we recommend players migrate to 26.1 or 26.2 instead.

Am I required to use the resource pack?
Yes, once the pack is added to the Main Network, it will be force-enabled there. Many pieces of future content coming soon will use custom models, textures, and menus. It would not be feasible for us to support an entirely different version of the game that didn't use the resource pack.

If there are any textures for specific items that you aren't a fan of, please leave your feedback below as always.

Am I allowed to override the SkyBlock Resource Pack with mods?
Yes, although please keep in mind that all mods are considered use-at-your-own-risk. Additionally, bear in mind that a significant portion of items in SkyBlock have been turned into vanilla Paper items on the backend to help prevent placing animations/exploits, so doing this will make items indistinguishable from each other.

When will <item> get a custom texture made for it?
This is just the first version of this resource pack; the goal is for most items in SkyBlock to eventually get a texture. We expect to update the SkyBlock Resource Pack quite frequently.

Things like armor and pets are all things we would like to tackle in the future, but will require more time and care to get right. We are starting with more basic items and weapons for texturing first, as they are what you see in your hotbar and menus the most often.

<item> has an underwhelming texture. Is the team open to feedback?
Yes! Here is a snippet from our Art Team, after reading the comments so far:

Hypixel Minecraft Artists: Hi everyone! We've noticed your questions and feedback about the art shared so far for the pack, and wanted to clarify.

What we have shown so far is an early, alpha test-ready version of the SkyBlock Resource Pack. To get the ball rolling on the pack, we started by texturing as many basic items as we could to showcase our ideas. Everything shown so far is subject to change as we work on trying to get this pack right. Please tell us what works and what doesn't work - the more specific the feedback, the better!

While our goal for the pack was to keep it close to vanilla Minecraft's style, we know we might miss sometimes. So, let's work together to make SkyBlock look its best! With all of that in mind, you might even notice we have started implementing changes based on your suggestions.

Will future updates come out with textured items in the SkyBlock Resource Pack?
Going forward, yes, all new items except for Pets and Cosmetics should get textures on release. A few new items might slip through the cracks for the first month, but by and large, everything should be getting custom textures.

Where are the custom menus that were shown off a couple of years ago?
Over the past several months, we've been rolling code to the game to allow us to properly implement custom menus, but the menus themselves will not be included in the first release. This first release will help us iron out style and stomp out any bugs. These textures are just the first steps on the road!

➥ Additional Changes

[edit | edit source]

We've also made several changes to various items to support a few of the fancier resource pack features. Some of these features also double as small QoL improvements.

  • Added a visual cooldown to Enderman Slayer Sword abilities.
  • Added a visual cooldown between shortbow shots.
  • Made watering cans show their water level as a durability meter.
  • Updated several item abilities to use Item Display entities, and improved their animations. This affects the following abilities:
    • Bonemerang
    • Tribal Spear
    • Flower of Truth
    • Bouquet of Lies
    • Halberd of the Shredded
    • Giant's Sword
    • Time Shuriken
    • Extremely Real Shuriken
  • Applied a unique tooltip texture to each item rarity.
  • Updated the arrow hotbar display to show the texture of the arrow type you're using.
  • Hid the empty tooltip on glass pane UI elements in The Forge.

► Loadouts

[edit | edit source]

Switching builds is one of the clunkiest things you do in SkyBlock. Going from your combat setup to a fishing or mining one means bouncing between the Wardrobe for armor, the Pets menu for your pet, and the Accessory Bag to swap your Power and even your Magical Power tuning. Everytime you want to swap from one activity to another, there are bunch of menus that you have to go through before you can just start playing.

Loadouts lets you save a full build once and bring it back whenever you want with a single click.

➥ Feedback we're looking for

[edit | edit source]

We are also looking for feedback on the following aspects of this update:

  • We've added a cooldown to swapping Loadouts and other systems like the Wardrobe. Especially with all the newly added systems that now can all be swapped at the same time, there will most likely be some issues in the future unless we add a cooldown to these systems.
    • Previously, the wardrobe did not have a cooldown whatsoever which has led to a playstyle where people would often swap mid-combat to min-max their armor for specific parts of slayers, dungeons or kuudra for example. We want to move away from that playstyle and are looking for feedback regarding the cooldown duration.
    • Right now, the cooldown is set at 30 seconds on a system to system basis. So your wardrobe and equipment wardrobe have seperate cooldowns, but your loadout is on cooldown as long as anything else within the loadout is also on cooldown.
  • We are also aware that there are currently obvious loopholes such as swapping armor from your hotbar/inventory, which we'll still have to decide on, so let us know your opinion below.

➥ What a Loadout saves

[edit | edit source]

Each Loadout allows you to save the following things: Armor, all 4 pieces Equipment, your Necklace, Cloak, Belt and Gloves Pet, whatever pet you select Accessory Power, your selected Power Stone for the Accessory Bag Tuning Points, your Magical Power tuning distribution Heart of the Mountain Heart of the Forest

The way it works is that your Loadout talks to the other systems in the game, like your Wardrobe, Tuning Templates, Pets, Equipment Wardrobe (new) and Hotf/Hotf Slots (new) and loads the stored data that you have already configured there. You select multiple of these setups and connect them to one loadout. This means that most things are not stored within the loadout itself, but in their seperate instances instead. This also allows you to use your Wardrobe, Equipment Wardrobe or Hotm/Hotf Loadouts seperately from the Loadout system aswell.

➥ How it works

[edit | edit source]

Open the new Loadouts menu and edit a loadout (replacing the Wardrobe menu in your Skyblock Menu, or /loadout) Here you can select for example your Armor which opens the Wardrobe Select one of your Wardrobe slots to save to your Loadout (which remain the same as they were before the update) You now have connected that Wardrobe slot your Loadout which means that when you load the Loadout the next time, it will always load that specific Wardrobe slot You can add more things to your Loadout, for example your Equipment which opens the new Equipment Wardrobe (/eq) Then rename the loadout to whatever you want so you can remember it better

And that's basically it. From now on everytime you load that loadout, it will load your Armor from Wardrobe and load your Equipment from the Equipment Wardrobe, or whatever else you might have added to it. P.S: You can also choose to select nothing, which keeps whatever you had before the swap!

➥ Equipment Wardrobe

[edit | edit source]

As part of this update, we have also added a Equipment Wardrobe. The new Equipment Wardrobe works the same as your current Wardrobe, but it saves your Equipment seperately from it. This way allows you to use your Equipment sets with any of your Armor sets without locking yourself to one specific composition.

➥ HotM/HotF Loadouts

[edit | edit source]

We also added Loadouts for your Heart of the Mountain and Heart of the Forest, allowing you to swap between different setups really easily.

➥ Other Loadout Changes

[edit | edit source]

Increased the default amount of wardrobe slots from 2 -> 4 Made the first tuning template free, refunding everyone that spent bits on it previously Added Community Upgrades for Loadouts, Hotf, Hotm and Equipment Slots Removed "Full Set First Worn" line from the wardrobe

► Healing Revamp Changes

[edit | edit source]

We have been closely monitoring feedback regarding the Healing Revamp and are here to bring you a handful of changes along with some insight into our future plans for the update.

➥ Additions and Adjustments

[edit | edit source]
  • Added a Test Item 2 available in Centauri, giving you more tracking to spawn rare mobs.
  • Various adjustments to mob damage have been made, including:
    • Dungeon Mobs
      • Most mobs have their damage reduced by 10%. The exceptions are:
      • 15% Reduction

      • 20% Reduction

        • Boss (~-30% Damage) and Minibosses (a lot?)
        • Broken Heart Radiation now deals 800 True Damage instead of a % of your health.

NOTE: We are aware of the request for wanting to be healed after fighting a boss, as the boss will leave you at low HP. Let us know if this is still needed after the damage reductions.

  • Some item changes, including:
    • Explosive Arrows no longer damages yourself.
    • Destruction and Annihilation Cloak now heal 15/s and 25/s.
    • Ghast Cloak and Vanquished Ghast Cloak now heals 5/s and 15/s.
    • You can buy a Refrigerate III book for 1 Volcanic Rock + 50 North Stars
      • Previously, you can buy a Refrigerate I book for 1 Volcanic Rock + 10 North Stars, the change intends to reduce the amount of Volcanic rock needed.
    • Gloomlock Grimoire now requires 8 Enchanted Quartz Block to craft instead of 8 Enchanted Bone Block.
      • This is both to increase the obtainability of the item, but also since Quartz Blocks are more thematically fitting.

➥ Planned Adjustments

[edit | edit source]
  • Dungeon class changes, including:
    • Tank
      • Tank gets 10 + 0.5 Vitality per Class Level as part of its base stats.

      • Healer gets 10 + 0.5 Mending per Class Level as part of its base stats.
      • Mending also boosts the self-healing of Healers while in The Catacombs.
    • Berserk
      • Increased the melee damage boost from +0.4% per level to +0.75% per level.
      • Melee Hits increase the damage bonus from "Lust for Blood" 5x faster.
    • Mage
      • Mage now gets 5 Ability Damage + 1 Ability Damage every 5 levels as part of its base stats.
  • Some HP% changes:
    • Fire Traps: 50% HP Damage → 15% HP Damage
    • Arrow Traps: 50% HP Damage → 15% HP Damage

  • Crimson Isle Miniboss Adjustments
    • Lowered kill-credit requirement from 1,000,000 to 250,000 damage.
    • Ashfang's Gravity Orb now deals 7,500 damage per second instead of 1-shotting the player.
    • Ashfang now heals 500,000 per absorbed Blaze instead of 2,000,000.
    • Ashfang's Blaze HP will be reduced to 2,000,000 HP.
    • Bladesoul's base damage reduced from 4,000 to 3,000.
    • Wither Plume's damage reduced to 7,500 (from practically a 1-shot).
    • DoT effects should no longer proc damage reflection from Mage Outlaw.
    • Barbarian Duke X's damage reduced from 4,500 to 2,000.
    • Barbarian Duke X's stun effect is reduced by ~40%.
    • Reduce the HP requirements of the Magma Boss fight by ~20%.
  • Blaze Slayer Lava Pillars
    • You no longer need to use a Wisp Pet to kill lava pillars.
    • Using a Wisp pet and the Coldfused reforge will make killing lava pillars faster.
  • /reclaim support for items where Ultimate Wise and Mana Disintegrators are now redundant.

There are more changes, especially damage changes, we are considering for Healing Revamp in the future, such as:

  • Various instances of ability damages that aren't defined by a mob's base damage stat.
  • Lava Fishing Minibosses
  • Kuudra
  • Diana mobs, if necessary.
  • More item adjustments, if necessary.

We're aiming to give more insight into future adjustments at a later date; we've been prioritizing implementing the confirmed changes for testing first. Thank you for your patience during this process!
