Baits are items used to provide bonuses while Fishing. They give various effects and are automatically used while fishing if they are in the inventory or Fishing Bag. If the player cancels casting, Bait will be refunded. The effects of a Bait last from when the player casts their Fishing Rod until they reel it back in.

Certain items provide a chance to not consume bait on use, stacking additively:

•  Bait Ring: 5% chance to not consume Bait.
•  Spiked Atrocity: 10% chance to not consume Bait (takes priority over  Bait Ring).
• Caster: 5%–30% chance to not consume Bait.
• Fisherman: 1%–10% chance to not consume Bait.
•  Stingy Sinker: 10% chance to not consume Bait.

This results in a maximum of 60% chance to not consume Bait.
