Minister Election was significantly altered or removed after January 13, 2026. This article is retained for historical purposes.

The Minister Election is an election event that replaces the Mayor Election while A sprite icon representing Candidate Aura in Hypixel SkyBlock Aura is in office. It takes place in The People's Voting, a room that replaced the Election Room.

A player can vote on other players to become Ministers. The 7 Ministers with the most votes will be able to add their own perks to the game: the top 3 Ministers may create their own perks, whereas the remaining 4 Ministers may choose from different Mayor perks and special pre-made perks.

The player cannot vote for A sprite icon representing Candidate Aura in Hypixel SkyBlock Aura, anyone with the [ዞ] rank, [PIG+++] Technoblade, or blacklisted individuals like dante, [MVP+] hannibal2, or [MVP+] Minikloon. Ministers cannot be voted in two elections in a row, unless they use the Long Term Investment perk; likewise, players who managed to reach the podium cannot be voted for in subsequent elections.

When a Minister Election concludes, the following message will display:

In the Mayor Election that immediately followed the end of the Minister Elections, A sprite icon representing Aatrox in Hypixel SkyBlock Aatrox, A sprite icon representing Cole in Hypixel SkyBlock Cole, A sprite icon representing Foxy in Hypixel SkyBlock Foxy, A sprite icon representing Diaz in Hypixel SkyBlock Diaz, and A sprite icon representing Diana in Hypixel SkyBlock Diana were the available candidates. All mayors had all of their perks available during this Mayor Election.

  • If, because of ministers, a same perk would be activated at the same time — for example due to Perkpocalypse — its effect would not stack with itself and only be active once.
  1. ↑ This perk was later removed after outrage and threats against Candypat, who was unaware that it affected all stats, including Rift Time or Breaking Power.
  2. ↑ This player has gotten [YOUTUBE] since being elected. The older rank is kept for historical purposes
  3. ↑ [MVP++] rembutquaglet replaced [MVP++] AscentPVP after the latter was found to be bribing people with giveaways for votes: [MVP++] AscentPVP was disqualified and invited to rejoin in the following election.

Trivia

  • [MVP+] hannibal2 was blacklisted from being able to be voted for after a developer of the popular mod SkyHanni auto-filled the sign where players could vote on a minister with hannibal2, which counted as a chat macro: the developer behind this was also temporarily banned.
  • [YOUTUBE] im_a_squid_kid, [MVP] Confused_Goon and [MVP++] SnowflakeKiwi chose to use their perks to remove the Minion Union, Work Harder and Work Smarter perks, respectively. As a result, they were imprisoned in the Prison of the Bereft and replaced with an A sprite icon representing Electoral Goon in Hypixel SkyBlock Electoral Goon for the duration of their term.
  • [MVP++] AscentPVP was disqualified from the fifth election for bribing people with giveaways and invited to campaign again under the pretense that no money would be involved.
  • [YOUTUBE] Future77's Organ Donor perk is a reference to a running gag where Future77 jokes about selling his organs to afford the coins to 'hypermax' items in SkyBlock.
  • While the Work Harder perk affects the Health values shown in Bestiary of mobs, it doesn't change the Damage value, which is also increased by the perk.
    • A sprite icon representing Derpy in Hypixel SkyBlock Derpy's DOUBLE MOBS HP!!! doesn't change values in Bestiary.
    • Slayer menu shows both increases to Boss's Health, but omits the Damage.
  • After the Precursor Drone Pet Precursor Drone Pet, Kuudra Tentacle Kuudra Tentacle, Blood God Sigil Blood God Sigil, and Potato Ring Potato Ring were added, new items stopped being added after the conclusion of each individual Minister Election. Instead, they were slowly rolled out over time and eventually in one major update.
  • [MVP+] arithemonkey's perk, which was to add a 2nd Secret Bingo to the game, was implemented on March 29th, 2026: 3 days before the beginning of April.
  • [YOUTUBE] Derailious's perk was originally the Magical Milk Mixin, however with the implementation of Celestial Mason Jar Celestial Mason Jar which granted the same perk, his perk was changed.
  • [MVP+] Luamon's perk, which was implemented as part of the Loadouts system, was first seen on the Alpha Hypixel Network on June 24th, 2026.
