Rod Parts

Rod Parts are a core part of Fishing. They can be applied to Fishing Rods to grant various bonuses.

Overview

Fishing Rods can have 3 Rod Parts applied at once. They can be applied at Roddy in the  Backwater Bayou for various perks. There are 3 types of Rod Parts:

Hooks increases the chance to catch certain items or Sea Creatures.
Lines grant stat bonuses.
Sinkers grant Fishing Rods miscellaneous special abilities.

Only one type of Rod Part may be applied to a Fishing Rod at once. If the player wants to apply a different Rod Part, they need to remove the previous one first.

Trivia

When the Phantom Rod was being removed in the version 0.22 Alpha, the Hypixel development team stated under the second day's changes that there are plans to add a new Sinker which applies the Phantom Rod's ability to any fishing rod. The Sinker with Phantom Rod's abilities has not currently released yet, as the team said it might take a while as it might necessitate nerfs to either the Phantom Impel ability or the Shredded Line in order to make them both compatible and balanced.^[1]
