Commissions

Commissions are mining quests issued by the King and his Emissaries that involve completing a certain task repeatedly in either the Dwarven Mines or Crystal Hollows. Completing a Commission rewards the player with  Mining XP, Heart of the Mountain XP and either ᠅ Mithril Powder, ᠅ Gemstone Powder or ᠅ Glacite Powder.

Completing Commisions contributes to the tiered "Hard Working Miner" Achievement.

Initially, players have only two commissions slots, but after completing 100 commissions, players will gain a third commission slot. Additionally, at Heart of the Mountain V (5), players can unlock the Core of the Mountain perk for a fourth slot. Commission slots 1 & 3, and 2 & 4 have the same quest pool and cannot have duplicate types of commissions.

Crystal Hollows commissions are a different set of 4 commissions. They all draw from the same Commission pool, and also cannot have duplicates.

First 4 commissions every day wherever they are give 900 more HoTM XP until it is maxed. Once Heart of the Mountain is maxed, daily commissions give an additional 1600 ᠅ Mithril Powder, 3200 ᠅ Gemstone Powder or 4000 ᠅ Glacite Powder. Daily bonuses are reset at midnight Hypixel Server Time.

Completing a certain number of commissions rewards the player with unique items and abilities.

Different Commissions are selected depending on which slot is selected. These Commissions can only be completed in the  Dwarven Mines.

Certain Commissions require the player to mine ores in a certain area of the Dwarven Mines. This area is picked at random from the following locations:

• Cliffside Veins
• Lava Springs
• Rampart's Quarry
• Royal Mines
• Upper Mines

Players can have multiple of those at the same times, they're listed as one in the interest of brevity.

Commissions belong to one of two groups Event and Non-event. Players will always have at least 1 of each group, regardless of how many slots they have.

The player's first few commissions are slightly altered to make them easier.

Mines Slayer	Kill 50 Creatures in the Mines.

For the First Event commission, Passive Events count too.

The Mithril Miner commission will be 50 the first time, and 150 the second time, before becoming the usual 350.

These Commissions can only be completed in the  Crystal Hollows.

• Amber
• Amethyst
• Jade
• Ruby
• Sapphire
• Topaz

Powder Ghast Puncher	Damage a Powder Ghast 5 times.

• While types of commission are no longer locked to a specific slot (for example 1st and 3rd), they are set in a way where the player will not have 4 commissions that depend on Events, obtaining Crystals or being in  Glacite Tunnels.
• Compact and Efficient Miner perk work for speeding up commissions and calculates the total raw material amount.
•  Pristine works for speeding up commissions but only counting the Flawed Gemstone drops as individual drops rather than the raw x80 per Flawed.

• While the  Mining XP gained from milestones is not boosted by any experience multipliers, the one obtained from Commissions themselves is. This makes them an effective way to level pets, especially within the  Glacite Tunnels where all commissions can be done near one another and require no prep time.
• If you kill a large Sludge which then splits into smaller Sludges, the large one and the small ones all count as individual kills for the Sludge Slayer commission.
