The Metal Detector is a SPECIAL Quest item that allows you to find Scavenged Items buried in the gold of the Mines of Divan.

A beeping sound will play if you hold the Metal Detector, and the closer to treasure you are, the higher pitch and frequency of each beep. Additionally, in the player's actionbar (above the hotbar), TREASURE will be displayed along with a meters counter, which shows you how far away you are from the treasure.

This item is used to obtain the Scavenged Items used to obtain the Jade Crystal.
