A Control Switch can also be found as an drop from treasure chests within the Precursor Remnants. It has a 0.34% chance to roll as a drop in common loot chests, and a 0.29% chance to roll as a drop in rare loot chests.

Bringing a Control Switch and the 5 other Automaton components to Professor Robot in the  Lost Precursor City rewards the player with the Sapphire Crystal.
