Armadillo Pet

The Armadillo Pet is a Mining Mount Pet that is obtained via hatching Prehistoric Eggs. It can be ridden to break blocks in the  Crystal Hollows.

Obtaining

The Armadillo Pet hatches from a Prehistoric Egg after walking a certain amount of steps to hatch it. To obtain the MYTHIC Armadillo Pet, one can use a Frozen Scute and 700,000 Coins to upgrade it at Kat.

Usage

The Armadillo Pet takes the form of a head on the ground when summoned. It will attempt to follow the player around, but it moves extremely slowly. If the pet is too far away, it may teleport to its owner.

Right-clicking the pet allows the player to mount it, allowing them to control its movements. The pet has an energy meter which appears above the XP bar when riding it; this meter's capacity is decided on by the pet's rarity.

The pet's energy depletes when the Armadillo breaks a block.

When the pet's energy reaches 0, the Armadillo will stop moving, and stamina regen will halt. The stamina of the Armadillo naturally regenerates 0.33% of its maximum energy per second. The pet stops regenerating energy only while moving. It regenerates fully while riding so long as the player is stationary, as well as when they are not riding the pet.

Trivia

The Armadillo Pet was the first to have five perks at LEGENDARY rarity. It now shares this property with the Kuudra Pet, Subzero Wisp Pet and Jade Dragon Pet.
While holding a Pickonimbus 2000 or Drill, breaking blocks with the Armadillo Pet will use up durability/fuel. If the Pickonimbus breaks or the drill runs out of fuel, blocks will still be broken, but the tool's stats will not apply.
The Armadillo used to not give any gemstones when using it to mine gemstones without a proper pickaxe, but breaking gemstones could still display "Rolling Miner granted you double drops" in chat.
This pet can ride minecarts.
It used to be possible to obtain a MYTHIC Armadillo Pet via a glitch. This did not provide any additional perks, just pet score and SkyBlock XP.
